Monica and Chandler try to take an engagement picture to publish in the newspaper, but Chandler has an inability to smile for the camera. Rachel gets Joey to take Tag out to see New York so he can't spend time with the women at work, but it backfires when Joey takes him to a bar full of girls. Phoebe dates a cute guy named Kyle, while Ross dates his ex Whitney, who's in the process of divorcing him.

- Divorce Is Temporary: Ross and Phoebe respectively date Whitney and Kyle, a divorcing couple. At the end of the episode, they realize they still love each other and get back together.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: Ross and Phoebe resemble a long-suffering couple themselves while fighting over whether Kyle or Whitney is the one in the right. After one fight Ross turns to a couple sitting at the next table and apologizes to them the way a parent would apologize to a child who'd seen them arguing.
- I'm Standing Right Here: Chandler says a few variations of this while Rachel and Joey have a conversation about Joey's influence on Tag and they throw shade on Chandler in some asides.Chandler: Can you people not see me?
