The Wishing Well is the 6th episode in Series 2 of Fireman Sam.
While picking strawberries, the kids come across an old wishing well, which Norman soon falls into.
Tropes:
- Affectionate Nickname: Dilys refers to Norman as her little sugar candy.
- Banana Peel: Elvis tries to throw a banana peel into the bin over his shoulder, but misses the mark, and Steele slips on it.
- Comically Missing the Point: As Norman shouts for help from the well, Dilys mistakes the sound for an angel's voice, and believes he's in Heaven.
- Injured Limb Episode: Norman injures his foot from falling in the well.
- I Want My Mommy!: After falling down the well, Norman weakly shouts "MUM!".
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Dilys starts to worry about Norman after he doesn't come home in time for his favourite television program.
- Series Continuity Error: Station Officer Steele's medal for 25 years of service comes in the mail, and Sam and Elvis try to keep it a surprise from him, but three episodes ago in "Thief in Pontypandy", he already had the medal.
- Wishing Well: The main point of interest of the episode is the old wishing well. Sam mentions that when he was young, he wished to be a fireman at the well.
