The XGB team is rendered useless when a man appears to be able to lead ghosts away with his piper music. However, things take a turn for the worse when the mayor won't pay the piper.

- Dreadful Musician: Roland has been taking violin lessons and the end result is so bad that the music makes Slimer cry in pain. This is what saves the day as Piper is brought down to his knees, trying to not listen to that horrific music.
- Engineered Heroics: Piper unleashes his ghosts to attack the city and while that's happening, he swoops in and saves the city from the chaos he caused.
- Expy: Piper is based on the fabled The Pied Piper of Hamelin. The episode is based on the story, including the kidnapping of children.
