After General Skarr tells the legend of King Arthur to Hector and Boskov, the gang goes to England so Hector can get the Sword of Excalibur from the Lady of the Lake so Hector can become ruler of England—because, according to Arthurian legend, anyone who wields Excalibur is technically the ruler of England (and, by extension, countries that are still technically ruled by the British royal family).

This episode provides examples of:

  • All Women Love Shoes: One of the tests that the Lady of the Lake has Hector do is have a dig a tunnel through to Paris, France, and upon being questioned why, she explains that she wants him to get her a pair of shoes from a fancy shoe boutique, and she and Ghastly go on to talk about said shoes.
  • Arson, Murder, and Jaywalking: When Skarr tells Hector and Boskov about people who conquered the world through swordfighting, two of the people he names are Errol Flynn and Peter Pan.
  • Cutting the Knot: While Skarr's fencing with a giant robot, Hector says, "If you want to kill a robot, you do it like this!" (he pulls out a laser cannon and shoots the robot's head, thus destroying it).
  • Lady Looks Like a Dude: The Lady of the Lake is this—so much so that "she" basically just looks like a man in drag.
  • Meaningless Villain Victory/The Bad Guy Wins: Although Hector does manage to gain the Sword of Excalibur, and is thereby the ruler of England (and countries that are still technically ruled by the British royal family), the British royals he encounters point out how modern monarchs have no real power (in fact, as one woman notes, they're essentially figureheads).
    • The Lady of the Lake also manages to gain Excalibur back by sneaking into Buckingham Palace disguised as a maid and knocking out Hector and Boskov with a teapot.
  • Shout-Out:
    • As previously mentioned, Skarr mentions Errol Flynn and Peter Pan.
    • Hector makes a reference to The Phantom Menace when he forbids Boskov from ever watching it again after the bear takes a sword and starts messing around with it, during which Boskov slips on a marble and accidentally slices Hector's brain-jar in half.
