Hector Con Carne and Ghastly have made dozens of pies to make the city not attack them.
Tropes:
- Above the Influence: Cod Commando's the one person capable of fighting against Hector Con Carne because he's able to resist Ghastly's pies.
- Affectionate Parody: The song at the end seems to be at least partially based on Afroman's "Because I Got High".
- Fat and Proud: Those who become addicted to Ghastly's pies later sing about how they don't mind getting fatter the more they eat, just as long as they can eat more pie.
- I Can't Believe It's Not Heroin!: Ghastly's insanely delicious pies are bio-engineered to be addictive and so filling the consumers lose all their willpower except to eat more pie.
- Impossibly Delicious Food: Ghastly's pies are so good that no one can stop eating them.
- Musical Episode: Nearly all of the episode consists of the characters singing.
- The Power of Love: Parodied. At the end of the episode when everyone's singing about what's inside Ghastly's pies, Ghastly reveals the secret ingredient is "love."
- Shout-Out: Things I Adore was clearly based on "Things I Love" from The Sound of Music.
- Villain Song: Hector Con Carne's own song in the episode is "Things I Adore", where he sings of how much he likes to conquer the world.
- Weight Woe: Hector's overall plan is to use the pies to make the masses and anyone who would oppose him so fat and lazy they'd be unable to resist his domination.
