  • Armor-Piercing Question:
Julius: Not to be nosy, but, you got cash, why don't you just fly to Vegas?
Eddie: Oh, uh, I'm, um.. I'm claustrophobic!
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Chris gets jealous when his family treats Greg like royalty. A bit justified knowing how poorly they treat Chris.
  • Hostage Situation: Eddie holds Julius hostage once they reach Vegas and the cab gets surrounded by LVPD. He reveals that he robbed a bank before he even got in the cab and a few other establishments on the trip.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Greg keeps Chris up at night with his loud snoring and sleeptalking. He also hogs the bathroom and sings in the shower when Chris wakes up having to pee badly.
  • Jerkass Ball: Chris grips it firmly as Greg continues to stay at his house, as he is frustrated with Greg getting spoiled rotten.
  • Nice Guy: Julius' cab fare, Eddie. He offers him a thousand dollars to take him to Las Vegas, and pays for all the meals, gas, and hotel rooms on the way there. Too bad he turns out to be a notorious bank robber.
  • An Offer You Can't Refuse: Julius refuses to drive a passenger all the way to Las Vegas, until he offers a whopping thousand dollars as payment, complete with all road trip expenses paid.
Narrator!Chris: For a thousand dollars, he'd take you to South Africa during the height of Apartheid!

Rochelle: Julius, you are not driving that cab to Vegas!
Julius: The guy's gonna pay me a thousand dollars.
Rochelle: (mood completely changes) Get me Wayne Newton's autograph. Bye.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Played for Laughs. Unlike the kids, Julius, who usually despises vegetables, actually likes the vegetarian meal Rochelle prepared on Greg's behalf.
Julius: It's not bad! Hey, pass the big piece of vegetable!
  • The Thing That Would Not Leave: This is what Greg turns into for Chris. He completely reshapes the structure of the household and gets treated far better by Rochelle than her own kids sometimes. He gets sick of it and starts lashing out against Greg, acting increasingly petty which everyone calls him out on. As it turns out, everyone in the family felt the same way about Greg, and they berate Chris for suggesting he stay over.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: As Chris does several mean-spirited things to Greg out of revenge for being annoying and treated much better than him, Greg and Chris' family call him out for acting like a Jerkass.
