The Trio finds gold in the muddy depths of the Creek so Craig builds a rig to recover it.
Tropes:
- All for Nothing: Subverted. Although Craig never found the treasure he desired, he did clear a part of the creek of garbage, creating a new place for them to hang out.
- All That Glitters: The shiny object they thought was a gold ingot was actually a candy bar with a golden wrapper.
- Based on a Dream: In-Universe Craig already had plans for the submarine used to find treasure at the bottom of the creek, saying that he dreamed about it. He says the same about the giant claw used to dredge the creek. It's so uncannily relevant to what they're doing that Kelsey is a little disturbed.
- Bottle Episode: The episode entirely takes place at the spot of the Creek where the Trio are trying to retrieve the gold bar.
- Green Aesop: Garbage polluting a section of the Creek made it a terrible place to hang out at, not to mention unsanitary. Plus, it made it hard to salvage for treasure.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Kelsey's fantasy of what she'll do with the gold involves buying a Komodo dragon, who would eventually leave her. Then, as she fights a bigger dragon, her dragon (whom she names Brutus) comes to save her by standing in the way, getting killed in the process.
- The Reveal: The gold bar turns out to be a candy bar with a gold wrapper. It's a prize winning wrapper, but the company folded after giving out too many winning bars that entitled a $50,000 cash prize.
- Rocket Punch: J.P. imagines becoming a superhero with a giant golden fist that shoots off.
- Way Past the Expiration Date: The candy bar is from a company that folded in 1964.
- Worthless Treasure Twist: Zigzagged. The "gold bar" was actually a candy bar with a gold-colored wrapper. However, the wrapper was part of a contest for a trip to the candy factory. Unfortunately, the factory closed decades ago.
