The Paladins enact their plan to liberate Earth.
- Body Double: A variation - Coran fills in for Lelouch as Zero again to distract the Galra on Earth so that he can bait Zarkon into a favorable confrontation.
- Jerkass Has a Point: Relative example - when Schneizel asks the Galra under Yuna to not arrest Zero at Tianzi's wedding, he points out that this might not be the Zero they are looking for. Evidently, he's heard about what happened with Cornelia the first time she took on Zero.
- Uncertain Doom: The wZERO unit has been searching for Gene Smilas since the Galra invasion, but have had no luck in finding him, with many of them uncertain if he survived.
- Unrealistic Black Hole: The Voltron Coalition's plan to incapacitate Zarkon is to trick him into diverting his flagship and fleet into an all-out attack on the Black Lion, then use Olkarion technology to transport the fleet to a star alongside a black hole, which will trigger a supernova, wipe out Zarkon's fleet, and hopefully incapacitate his flagship.
