It's been three years since Mega Man was first activated, but when his friends try to throw him a party he gets bummed because he's Just a Machine. Mega Man then finds a scroll about the Warp of Life, which can turn him into a real boy if he finds it.
Tropes:
- Amusement Park of Doom: Not a lethal variant, but the one the N Team visits in the middle of the episode is watched over by a Monster Clown who means to tempt guests into never leaving.
- Be the Ball: How Megaman disposes of the Monster Clown at the amusement park.
- Book Ends: The episode starts off on the N Team wishing Mega Man a happy birthday, and the Warp of Life doing it at the end. Because that's the day he became a living thing.
- Damsel in Distress: Mega Girl needs rescuing right when they finally find the Warp of Life.
- Distaff Counterpart: Mega Girl, built so Mega Man will have a friend who's a robot just like him.
- End of an Age: This is the last time a cover of a copyrighted song is used during a montage or chase scene. Future episodes would either use more original songs for such occasions or not have them at all.
- Secret Test of Character: Turns out the choice of becoming real or saving Mega Girl was one; by saving her instead, Mega Man earns the right to enter the Warp of Life.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: In that Mega Man becomes a living person at the end, but the rest of the series treats him as still being a robot, and still having all his mechanical abilities. Mega Girl's only future appearance is a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot in the background of a second season episode.
