Calvin creates a new invention, the Time Plucker, which allows people to take different items from anywhere in time. The group takes a spaceship and goes on a joyride, but then they meet their future selves. Use of the Time Plucker has turned them into hedonists, and they end up fighting their present versions. The battle goes badly for the present group, and Calvin dies before Hobbes erases the Future Selves' timeline by destroying the Time Plucker.
