Catbug decides to go to the afterlife to bring Chris back.
- The Bus Came Back: The episode features appearances from various deceased characters, such as some Emotion Lord, various slain foes, and the huge bear from the time Danny went to time jail.
- Deliberately Monochrome: Everything in the afterlife is this, with the visiting, still-alive Catbug being the only color.
- Dog Got Sent to a Farm: A version of this is how Willow's father comforted him when one of his pets died, and is the story Willow tells Catbug. Oddly enough, despite Willow's father actually just throwing the pet in an incinerator, it turns out to be completely accurate, with Catbug taking a bus there.
- Heroic Sacrifice: It turns out that you can escape from the afterlife if someone else willingly takes all of your (literal) emotional baggage. Learning this, Catbug willingly takes the baggage of Chris and various other dead characters, bringing them back but getting seemingly erased from all the condensed emotional energy.
- Literal Metaphor: Everyone in the afterlife is stuck carrying their emotional moop baggage, which takes the form of actual shopping bags.
- Rescued from the Underworld: Catbug journeys to the afterlife (which takes the form of a monochrome mall reached by a monochrome bus) to bring Chris back and make everyone happy again.
