Bluey teaches Bingo how to use magic so she can make Mum play with her, but she forgets to explain the most important rule: Never use magic for cheekiness!

- Does This Remind You of Anything?: If one were to replace "cheekiness" with "evil", it would make Chili and Bluey's scenario comparable to a battle between a light wizard vouching for good and a dark wizard vouching for evil. Bingo's feeling conflicted over siding with Bluey is even framed as though an apprentice is trying to decide between a good master and an evil one.
- Exact Words: Chili reminds Bluey that the first rule of magic is to use it for good. To this, Bluey argues she was using her magic for good: her sister Bingo was sad, so she made her happy by using it to entertain her (even at Pat and Bandit's expense).
- Heel–Face Turn: A benign version. Bingo and Bluey aren't "evil" so much as they are 'cheeky', but in the least, Bingo is enabling Bluey to abuse her magic on others. After witnessing that Bluey's pushing things too far with her magic and gleaning some wisdom from her mother, Bingo uses her own magic to turn on Bluey. And thus, order is restored.
- Empathic Environment: When the magic battle between Bluey and Chili escalates, the weather becomes notably cloudier and darker, as though making the 'magic powers' feel all the more real.
- Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: Downplayed. While it's not nearly as bad as outright abusing someone, what pushes Bingo to turn on Bluey is when she starts bossing her around and using magic on her. This prompts Bingo to use her magic to overthrow Bluey.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: Bluey may not be the "villain" so much as she is the "antagonist" of the conflict. Regardless, her using her magic on her younger sister to boss her around is what drives Chili's point home to Bingo that using magic against someone's free will isn't so fun on the receiving end.
- Tickle Torture: Bluey uses her "magic power" to make Bandit lie on top of Chilli and forces him to tickle her.
- Wizard Duel: The episode climaxes in a magic battle between Bluey and Chilli.
