Jefferson and Anissa continue their search for Jennifer and Khalil, trying to find them before Tobias' assassin does.
- Bittersweet Ending: Khalil and Jennifer survive, but Jefferson and Anissa don't bring them home, and Jennifer can't be persuaded to go back to her parents even by Khalil.
- Computer Equals Monitor: Jennifer hacks into a hospital computer by zapping the monitor.
- Deal with the Devil: Tobias has a new recruit, Todd, a talented robotics genius who's been held back because of his race and lack of connections. It doesn't take much for Todd to succumb to Tobias' temptations.
- "Eureka!" Moment: Anissa noticing the power surge at the hospital clues her and Jefferson in that Jennifer was there.
- Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: Todd's rant to the Grant Board, however awesome and justified, unsurprisingly gets him escorted out of the building. It's implied he's also expelled from the college too.
