Recap / Beavis And Butthead S 9 E 07 The New Enemy

Go To

Beavis and Butt-Head get a raccoon infestation, and dig themselves deeper and deeper in their attempts to get rid of them.

Tropes:

  • Cassandra Truth: Beavis tries to tell Butt-Head that his foot is stuck to the glue trap, but Butt-Head refuses to listen.
  • The Ditz: The duo thinks that the raccoons are bears, despite correctly identifying one back in "Couch-Fishing".
  • Dream Intro: Butt-Head has one.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: Not that Anderson would have any remote clue he's punishing the two boys who have given him hell in the past, but this episode marks the first time Beavis and Butt-Head end up paying the piper and receiving direct punishment from Tom Anderson, who maces them repeatedly. Anderson may not be directly punishing the two for all the property damage they've inflicted on him in the past, but he certainly gets a measure of unknown revenge against them for the multiple past seasons they've gotten away with their antics towards him.
  • No Ending: The episode ends with the duo — and the raccoons — stuck to the trap and maced by Tom Anderson, with no mention of how they escaped.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: Technically, the duo managed to trap the raccoons, but get themselves stuck to the trap.
  • Raging Stiffie: Beavis refuses to get down from the tree because it "feels funny" to which Butt-Head calls him a pervert and kicks him down.
  • Sequel Episode: Can be seen as one to "The Rat" from the 2011 revival, as the duo attempts to deal with an infestation, only for their stupidity to make the problem worse. Unlike that episode, they are beaten by the creatures they're trying to trap.
  • Unintentionally Karmic: Anderson unknowingly attacks Beavis and Butt-Head, mistaking them as some kind of monster. The duo has screwed him over and destroyed his property on multiple occasions, so this is quite convenient.
