Duke's first time driving the Batmobile doesn't exactly go smoothly.
Tropes
- Attack Drone: Batman calls in Spoiler and Signal to get a drone that's shooting at him off his tail using the Batmobile. It takes a bit, but Signal manages to destroy it with a missile.
- Big "NO!": Spoiler shrieks, "No!" when Signal almost hits the missile button by accident.
- Billions of Buttons: The Batmobile's dashboard is littered with dozens of unmarked buttons that do everything from firing missiles to ejecting the passenger seat. This proves troublesome when Duke has to take the wheel for the first time since Stephanie's arm is in a sling from a prior fight.
- Chekhov's Gun: Signal almost uses the missile button while trying to start the Batmobile. When Spoiler gets launched out of the car, leaving him on his own, he uses the button to destroy the drone threatening Batman.
- Cool Car: Despite it being an emergency situation and not getting lessons before driving it Duke is still excited to get to drive the Batmobile and relieved to hear that he won't be banned for a rocky first attempt.
- Ejection Seat: Duke accidentally ejects Stephanie from the Batmobile when he tries to push the button to pass control of the weapons system over to her.
- Noodle Incident:
- The Batmobile's autopilot was apparently damaged in a fight with Bane, but how this came about isn't mentioned.
- "We don't fire missiles in the Batcave anymore." No elaboration is provided, but then perhaps not much is needed.
- Stephanie later comments she nearly took a building down during her first time driving the car.
