"Don't you get it man? Everything is gone! It's all gone!"
Air date: July 22, 2012

Shake attempts to reboot his favorite show, "The Granite Family". But accidentally causes a nuclear apocalypse.

The Granite Family contains examples of:

  • The Bad Guy Wins: Time Warner (and a Fox) ultimately get what they want, a new Granite Family Reboot. Shake also, who gets his reboot in the form of Frylock unsuccessfully saving the world.
  • Book Ends: The beginning of the episode has the main character of the Granite Family repeatedly banging on the door yelling out for someone to open it. The episode ends with Frylock doing the same thing from President Shake.
  • Bottle Episode: 75% of the episode takes place within Carl's bunker.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Frylock points out that the war has completely decimated the Earth, Carl comes to the realization that the beer keg and tote bag he rented are free now.
  • From Bad to Worse: Shake, Meatwad, and Carl progressively make their chances of survival slimmer due to their incompetence.
  • Gainax Ending: After travelling back in time, Frylock attempts to stop Shake from causing the apocalypse in the Oval Office.. Only to find that due to time alterations (maybe?), an alternate Shake has became the president. Shake calls his guards and kicks out the now confused Frylock from his office. The episode ends with Frylock desperately banging on the locked door trying to stop the new president from restarting the apocalypse while the current Shake comes to laugh at him, due to Frylock unintentionally reenacting the first scene of the Granite Family episode.
  • Karma Houdini: Shake gets his Granite Family Reboot and a machine that can travel through time, at the cost of the whole world being plunged into a nuclear war.
  • Take That!: This episode was meant to be a jab at the announcement of Seth MacFarlane's Flintstones reboot, which of course got canned. (Thanks, Aqua Teens!)
  • What Ever Happened To The Mouse: Carl and Meatwad disappear after time travelling to a random destination.
