When Julien runs into the mysterious warrior lemur Koto, he is invited to the kingdom with open arms.
Tropes:
- Call-Back: Julien references, "Run For The Border", when mentioning that they had a wall and that it killed the "chilled out party" vibe they were going for.
- Defector from Decadence: Sage Moondancer turns out to have been Babak, King of a Warrior Tribe of Mountain Lemurs, who abdicated his throne to pursue his peaceful nomadic lifestyle.
- Distracted by the Sexy: Clover tries to point out inconsistencies in Koto's story, but he just flexes his pecs and she forgets what she was talking about.
- Falling-in-Love Montage: "Falling Violently In Like".
- Idiot Ball: The revelation that Koto is actually an evil warlord shouldn't be a surprise to anyone as his story is inconsistent and he is rather unsubtle about sizing up the kingdom and its defenses. The only thing keeping Clover from picking up on the obvious signs is that she's infatuated with him.
- Knight of Cerebus: Koto. It starts with the revelation at the end that he's lying about the state of his kingdom and it's only going to get worse from here on out.
- Meaningful Name: Babak and Koto are Indri lemurs, which are also known as Babakoto.
- Out-of-Character Moment: The normally peace loving and somewhat Cloud Cuckoolander-ish Sage Moondancer is extremely aggressive and unusually blunt and straight forward when talking to or about Koto, but nobody seems to notice or care beyond accusation that Sage is just jealous.
- Ship Tease: Not unlike the situation with Crimson, Clover and Julien, Sage's warnings that his brother Koto is not to be trusted are simply dismissed by the others as jealousy that Clover has fallen in love with Koto.
- Sibling Rivalry: Sage and Koto have this so strongly, it's Sage that starts the fight between them.
- Sibling Yin-Yang: Koto, the dark battle scarred warrior lemur and his brother Sage/Babak, the bright and handsome peaceful hippy lemur.
