"Double Date" is the fourteenth episode and Season Finale of Season Three of Abbott Elementary.
It's the last day of the school year and Janine is organizing a grand party for the Abbott Team.
Tropes in this episode include:
- Bouncer: Mr. Johnson appoints himself bouncer for Janine's party.
- Cold Open: Ava receives an e-mail from her past self who congratulates her on the goals she made for herself at the start of the school year. As you can imagine, she didn't accomplish any of them.
- Crazy-Prepared: Janine meticulously planned everything for the party, setting up specific places for people to be, even anticipating people's reactions (as when she mouths out exactly what Barbara is saying as she says it). Unfortunately, she couldn't foresee everything, as people weren't as predictable as she thought.
- Turn Off the Camera: As Gregory and Janine kiss in the final shot, Gregory closes the door on the camera operator. When the camera continues filming through the window, Greg lowers the blinds.
