Basic Trope: A fighter and/or rebel who happens to be devoutly religious.
- Straight: Vic is the leader of the Satan Knights biker gang, with a scar on his face and tattoos covering each arm. He can also quote the Bible from memory and teaches Sunday School every week.
- Exaggerated: Vic constantly cracks skulls, knocks over convenience stores, and moons traffic. But he always prays while he's doing it and goes to church immediately afterwards.
- Downplayed: Vic secretly reads the Bible in his spare time and prays whenever he's feeling particularly bad.
- Justified: All the years of living on the edge have taken a toll on Vic's conscience, making him turn to religion.
- Inverted: The straight-laced, church-going guy is actually an atheist. He just goes to church to keep up appearances.
- Subverted: Vic only goes to church to fulfill his mother's dying wish. He doesn't care much for religion himself.
- Double Subverted: The many years of attending church and pretending to be religious have rubbed off on Vic, and now his faith is genuine.
- Parodied: Vic belongs to the Church of Latter-Day Face Punchers, which encourages its members to be Bible-thumping badasses.
- Zig Zagged: Vic's faith wavers constantly throughout the series.
- Averted: Vic's a Badass Biker, but his religious background is never delved into.
- Enforced: The network/producer/etc. refuses to run characters that aren't religious, so the writers decide to add some scenes of Vic praying to get past the censors.
- Lampshaded: "Hey, is that Vic? What's a guy like that doing in a church?"
- Invoked: "Do you think a guy like you can't be religious? You've clearly never been to my church before."
- Exploited: The pastor of Vic's church caters his ministry specifically for outlaws like Vic as a way to get membership numbers up.
- Defied: ???
- Implied:
- Vic wears a small crucifix necklace.
- Vic is not seen at his clubhouse on Sundays and when asked about it, he states that he takes Sundays off for "personal reasons".
- Discussed: "What, you think outlaws can't pray or something? Don't be so close minded."
- Deconstructed: Despite his attempts to reconcile the two, Vic gradually realizes that his religion and his lifestyle are incompatible. He loses his faith and abandons his religion.
- Reconstructed: Vic learns about Samson who, despite being an ass-kicking, hard-drinking maverick, was still a man of God. This renews his resolve and restores his faith.
- Played For Laughs: Vic tries to be religious, but is hilariously inept at it: he tries to evangelize by punching people's faces in, he quotes from Scarface thinking it's from the Bible, and replaces the communion wine with whiskey.
