Pantheon / GUAL Judgement Magistrate

Go To

The main visionaries and judges of the Grand United Alliance of Law, who see to it that the Alliance can move closer to the ideal order for the Pantheon to follow. The goal of finding that one perfect meaning for the Pantheon to strive for, as intangible or even impossible as many deem it to be, is something all members of this subdivision seek to approach at the very least. The ones responsible for institutional changes in the GUAL, they seek to minimize distracting urges, feelings, and corruption that could lead the GUAL astray, and decide on changes that would optimize order with the Pantheon and within their own Alliance. Of course, given the various perspectives on the ideal purpose and order in the Pantheon, a lot more debate than change occurs with this group, and it usually takes a long time for members to agree on changes before they can enforce them.

Aristotle, One of the Philosopher Trio (The Philosopher)

  • Symbol: The original cover of Nicomachean Ethics

  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral

  • Reason for Joining: As the founders of modern Western thought and political theory, the GUAL has always been trying to get the Philosopher trio on its side due to their emphasis on virtue and support for strong leadership in opposition to unwise "democratic" rule. However, the old alliance failed to read that the three also despised tyranny, and so the philosophers refused to give them the time of day. When the organization was reformed, the new leaders thought that it might be a good idea to add some academic rigor and logical thinking to the organization. Socrates is more Neutral-aligned and was busy with other duties, and Eiki Shiki believed that Aristotle's more grounded analytical style would better balance out the GUAL's more idealistic members compared to Plato's approach.

  • Aristotle *has* been with an army before, so he knows how to work in large groups. Combined with being the codified of modern speech-writing techniques, he's pretty good at conversing with other members. Aristotle respects current main leaders as true Aristocrats but is keeping an eye on his more zealous and murderous compatriots.

  • At the moment, Aristotle is a sort of jack-of-all-trades scholar who helps with many of the day-to-day functions of the GUAL, whether it be assessing the state of threats, processing records, and helping write speeches for leaders. Of course, that is not including the vigorous debating that goes on between the magistrates. Additionally, he has connections with the GUAG through his former student Alexander the Great, he is also greatly respected by a lot of Christians and Muslims due to his influence on their theology and philosophy, which can help foster cooperation with more faithful deities and groups.
