Thunderbirds Are Go! (2015) is fairly light in tone similar to its predecessor, but it's not lacking in darker or more disturbing implications, especially as the series goes on.

  • The Stealth Mine manages to be a rather terrifying bit of machinery in the episode Space Race. A remnant of TAG's Great Offscreen War "The Global Conflict of 2040", it's a small ball-shaped mine that expands into a spiked abomination with an interface and camera in the center. Highly volatile and explosive, it is designed to target any nearby spacecraft within its vicinity and make a beeline for it, with enough explosive force to destroy a mid-sized ship easily. To make matters worse, because the controls that kept it in check were mothballed in 2043, there's no way to remotely shut it down, instead having to do so physically...and if you get it wrong, it explodes immediately. To really add to the mess, International Rescue also has to look for the original kill code written on a scrap of paper hidden somewhere in the London Archives. It very nearly comes multiple times to successfully destroying nearby vessels as Alan desperately tries to keep it focused on Thunderbird 3 without getting blown up himself.
