- Even despite the lack of blood, "Reality" caught a lot of readers off-guard due to it being about ants tearing apart a dead dragonfly.
- "Toes" is about a nightmare that Jogchem once had. Complete with images, it details Jogchem's toenails falling off, new ones growing out of his joints and some Extra Digits sprouting and twisting.
- The human teeth in "Grind" are particularly jarring to look at, being crooked and slightly yellowed, connected to some reddish skin surrounded by darkness.
- "Rat" starts with Jogchem being unable to sleep, remembering a rat who responds to a signal by dissecting itself, its belly bursting open and revealing numbered organs. The reader is shown a gif of this.
- "Present". The human face on the machine and inhuman noises it makes are very unsettling, and that's before the background turns black and the face suddenly covers the entire screen and makes loud noises.
- Some of the animations in "Bear" can be quite disturbing, such as teddy being cut to pieces, set on fire or covered in nails.
