Translations for Chinese comics and novels have been picking up steam around the internet lately. More and more English-speakers have gotten interested in them. Here are some examples:
- Battle Through The Heavens (Dou Po Cang Qiong): An action-adventure series that follows a young receptariernote named Xiao Yan who is trained by Yao Lao, a famous receptarier spirit that has awoken inside of him. The two set out on a journey to become stronger; gathering up any necessary skills and ingredients they come across along the way that will be required to battle a plethora of enemies they run into. The journey is also established to help Xiao increase his receptarier skills to the point of creating an elixir that could one day resurrect Yao Lao.
- Douluo Dalu (Soul Land): An action-fantasy series that follows a young master named Tang San. The main character commits suicide at the start of the story having stolen the valuable information of the Tang Sect he was affiliated with, but ends up being reborn in the world of "Soul Land" with the memories of his past life completely intact. Now having to start a new life, Tang San sets out on a journey in order to become a Spirit Master with the two spirit powers that he had been reborn with (Blue Silver Grass and Clear Sky Hammer).
- Ravages of Time: A manhua adaptation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This manhua has many awesome moments, be either action or of its Gambit Pileup. This manhua usually either follows POV-s of Sima Yi or Zhao Yun, a Shu Officer as well as his former bodyguard in this manhua.
- Star Martial God Technique: A web-series manhua developed by Mad Snail. It takes place in a fictional Chinese ancient times world run by martial arts where one must train themselves up the 12 levels known as "paths" to climb the Tower of God and achieve immortality. The martial arts one trains in comes in 3 choices: Flame, Dragon, or Star. Overall, the journey to train up and achieve each of the 12 paths are long and without end, and has resulted in generations of experts in these 3 fields searching for the correct road to reach immortality. The actual story follows Ye XingHe, a 16-year-old boy who enrolls at Heavenly Star Academy to train himself up as a Star Martial Arts practitioner. During a talent test where newcomers show off their potential, XingHe turns out to be a boy worthy enough to be trained by the school's powerful vice principal along with 2 other potential students, a female named An XueYun and a male named Liang Yu.
- Tales of Demons and Gods: Another web-series manhua developed by Mad Snail. It takes place in a fictional world that has been ravaged by monster attacks. Only one city is believed to be left remaining in the entire world, which is Glory City. However, it will eventually be destroyed in 3 years. The only person aware of this is Nie Li, who somehow goes back in time at the moment of his death; having transferred his memories of what will happen into his 13-year-old self. His goal now is to use his knowledge of the future, and the experience cultivated in his previous lifetime, to set right what once went wrong.
