* As shown in the page quote, the ''Series/MythBusters'' can get away with a wide variety of bizarre requests and actions by virtue of their reputation at this point. It's a far cry from when they started out; the group originally had to jury-rig a rocket together due to the difficulty of obtaining one legitimately. Hilariously, when they first attempted to obtain a JATO rocket, the Air Force sent not one, but two letters of denial. The [=MythBusters=] interpreted this as a literal NoJustNoReaction -- the second letter was just to reinforce just how denied their request was.

* Music/{{Eminem}}'s persona as a white outsider, a ShockJock and [[PissTakeRap the class clown of rap]] lets him get away with things that no other rapper would get away with. He's used this for noble goals like accusing MTV out on racism for celebrating him far more than black rappers (while [[VisualPun eating crackers while staring the camera dead in the eye]]), to go against the company line (in the documentary ''The Defiant Ones'', he's the only person willing to call out "the Beats thing" as bullshit) and to get away with things that would get other rappers murdered (such as accusing Music/PDiddy of having killed Music/TupacShakur). He starts his verse on "Bitch Please II" by ripping off Music/SnoopDogg's lyrics and flow, with Snoop's response just being to metaphorically shake his head and say, "he's so crazy". Many of the female celebrities he's savaged in his songs were delighted by the shoutouts.

* For similar reasons, Tina Belcher from ''WesternAnimation/BobsBurgers'' was actually changed from a boy in early production into a girl because the creators realized that what came off as disturbing coming from a male character simply became funny when said by a female one.

* ''Webcomic/StandStillStaySilent'': In a crew deliberately built with BunnyEarsLawyer in mind, Lalli accumulates mage powers that let him see things InvisibleToNormals, appears to have a mental disorder, NoSocialSkills, a solitary nature and a very lackluster education, which results in a pass to act even more strangely than everyone else. The downside to this is tha Lalli's cousin and CloudcuckoolandersMinder, already guilty of getting TactfulTranslation and TranslationWithAnAgenda mixed up, sometimes ends up not paying much attention to something Lalli is saying when she should be.

* In ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses'', a theme is that [[SupernaturalElite nobles with a Crest]] tend to have a lot of behavior that would be unacceptable for others excused because they are the {{MacGuffin Super Person}}s that Fodlan's society revolves around. In the case of side characters, this is generally just the kind of behavior you'd expect of a teenager. Many are BrilliantButLazy, and others have quirks like [[HandsomeLech lechery]] that aren't responded to with much more than a sigh. The protagonists have the most valuable coupons, which is {{Justified|Trope}} as they're the sovereign rulers of each nation, or in Byleth's case [[spoiler: the human vessel of [[CrystalDragonJesus Sothis]]]]. Claude says a lot of things that would give him away as [[spoiler: half-Almyran]], but as he has a Crest everyone assumes otherwise. Dimitri starts out innocent enough, [[spoiler: but suffers SanitySlippage in Part II. In spite of this, when he [[RightfulKingsReturns returns to Fhirdiad to take the throne]], the people are still cheering for him in spite of the lengthy stint of time he spent as an AxCrazy SerialKiller.]] Byleth is just ''weird'', both in terms of personality and the powers they exhibit, but these same characteristics are what make them a MagneticHero. Edelgard is a unique case. She doesn't get away with what she does merely because she has a Crest, but rather because her plans of [[spoiler: declaring war on the Church]] are so unthinkable that no one dares believe it no matter what she says or [[spoiler: how [[PaperThinDisguise paper-thin]] her disguise is]]. She otherwise discourages this, spending much of her time as house leader whipping problem students like [[BrilliantButLazy Linhardt]] into shape. The dark side to this is that it allows corrupt nobles to do whatever they want, no matter the consequences. This leads many {{Well Intentioned Extremist}}s to rebel against the Church of Seiros that declared that Crests are [[DivineRightOfKings a blessing of the goddess]] in the first place, [[spoiler: including [[ProHumanTranshuman Edelgard]]]].

* ''Series/{{Bones}}'': Invoked by Arastoo Viziri. As a scientist, he's used to his strong religious beliefs being looked down upon by his peers (even moreso because he's Muslim). So when he initially joined the Jeffersonian crew, he put on a thick accent and played up a bit of a FunnyForeigner persona so that his religion would be accepted as just another one of his immigrant quirks. After seeing his boss becoming annoyingly tolerant (insisting he ''not'' touch pig bones due to the taboo against pork, despite his own insistence that it didn't violate his beliefs), he dropped the charade and explained himself.

* Like the Creator/{{CLAMP}} example above, the ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'' series has a HoYay coupon that its fanbase either completely embraces and revels in or at the ''very'' least complacently tolerates. Similarly the plots, which usually start out somewhat grounded and straight-faced (rescue hostages from an offshore oil-cleaning facility) and gradually turn ''completely bonkers'' (sword fight your adopted dad and the former President on the roof of Federal Hall at the behest of the AI conspiracy controlling America).
