Isekai Battle Royale
is an ongoing Web Serial Novel by Vauntless. It is about a young man named Brent Davies who gets transported into an otherworldly island and thrown into a contest that resembles an amalgamation of the Battle Royale genre of shooter games.
Isekai Battle Royale contains examples of:
- A.K.A.-47: Mostly averted, as the names of many real life guns are listed in full on the various stat blocks without any alteration.
- Gun Accessories: Taken to an absurd level, with loads of attachments and customizations like suppressors, foregrips and extended magazines scattered as drops around the world, to the point where there are more of them than there are actual guns to use them on.
- Heal Thyself: The Bandages and First Aid Kit items picked up on the island work this way. Brent discovers that one only has to go through superficial motions of using the item and all their injuries are healed, even if they were not directly treating said injuries.
- Little Bit Beastly: Cassie Nevarine, the first person Brent meets on the plane, seems to have fox ears.
- Wrong Genre Savvy: Brent is familiar with MMORPGs and traditional fantasy isekai settings, but not shooters or the Battle Royale genre.
