"Hello, little bat. What is your name?"

Hello, Bumblebee Bat is a short children's book written by Darrin Lunde and is illustrated by Patricia J Wynne. It was published in 2007. The book is also a Theodor Seuss Geisel Honor Book. The book uses a question-and-answer format, which serve as a way to help introduce children to the Bumblebee Bat.

This book provides examples of:

  • Animal Talk: The bat answers the questions.
  • Meaningful Name: The bat specie's name.
"I am small, like a bee."
  • Ridiculously Cute Critter: The bat of course. This was probably done by drawing the bat with a friendly smile, which draws your attention away from it's visible claws.
  • The Stars Are Going Out: Seen happening in the illustrations as the night turns to the morning.

Good night,
Bumblebee Bat!
