    General
  • The growing camaraderie between Taii, Rose, and Catt is the emotional core of Wonderlab. Over the course of the comic, the former two begin to soften and chip away at the ice-shelled heart of the friendship-wary Catt, and Catt slowly starts to open themself up even after the heartache they faced after joining the company. Though tragedy inevitably strikes, it's hard not to get attached to the three and "wonder" at their growing bond.
  • While it may not seem like it on surface level, Catt clearly has a great amount of respect for Shasha as their Department Head. From their first day, Shasha took efforts to help Catt feel welcomed into the Disciplinary Department, and continues to try to be a good mentor and leader who will encourage Catt to continue improving themself both in their job and personally. On Catt's side, they display a great amount of respect for Shasha's authority that they don't show towards anyone else. They'd long since acknowledged Shasha as a strong person, and will usually defer to Shasha's leadership even with their tendency to act on their own.
  • Even with some of them having oddball personalities, all of the Department heads have a vested interest in ensuring the safety of as many of their employees as possible, even laying down their lives in order to protect their subordinates.

    Episode 4- 5 (White Lake)
  • After Rose is told by Daisy that the Lobotomy Corporation isn't a place for one to make grandiose proclamations, Kookie pipes up and tells Rose that they thought Rose looked like a heroic warrior to them. Judging by the expression on their face, it seems this one commend made the whole endeavor worth it in their eyes.

    Episode 16- 21 (Hookah Caterpillar)
  • Shasha can be harsh in scolding their employees, but they're also softer than they let on. They have a habit of buying pizza for their subordinates to soften the blow of a verbal dress-down, so its clear that their employees don't take their attitude to heart.
  • After a rough time with the Hookah Caterpillar, Ella is sitting alone in the hallway muttering to themself, seemingly on the verge of a panic. But before Catt can act, Finn unknowingly steps in before them and smacks Ella over the head to bring them back to their senses in what would undoubtedly be a much less unpleasant manner, before immediately handing them a health drink to help them recover. Ella's clear gratitude and how well they get along really helps to make it a warm moment.

    Episode 22 (Bottle of Tears)
  • The scene of Catt's introduction to the Disciplinary Team is extremely sweet. In the beginning, Catt is a quiet, timid individual who just barely entered the Nest and wants to live as comfortable a life as they can imagine. But no matter how awkward they are, each of their teammates does their best to help Catt feel welcome and comfortable among them, preparing a welcome lunch of sandwiches and letting them choose the one that they would like best. It's clear that the whole team has a strong, warm sense of camaraderie and closeness.
  • The fact that one of Catt's older colleagues made the effort to request Catt be given a much less volatile ZAYIN Abnormality to work on for their early days, so as to ease them into the dangerous work of Lobotomy Corp.

Episode 23- 29 (The Servant of Wrath)
  • All of the other Team Captains (sans Catt) gather round to praise Beozzi for their handling of the Servant of Wrath. It's clear from the start that the majority of the captains appear to have a close bond with one another, seeing as they're implied to regularly hang out outside of work. Even when Catt snubs another of their invitations, they still continue to extend the offers, and Toma is there to comfort Purin when Catt once again refuses.
  • Once Pygmalion is defeated, Daisy takes the time to sit with Purin and comfort them until they're able to be taken away to the infirmary. Even letting them rest their head in their lap.
  • While Purin is recovering from Pygmalion's White Damage attack, their infirmary bed is shown to be covered in get well cards and gifts, with the other Team Captains standing by their bedside and hoping for a smooth recovery. During all this, Purin even claims that thinking of their friends is what helped them cling to their sanity amidst the hallucinations the attack induced; Even the normally stoic Rza is seen gifting them with a stuffed rabbit that they immediately accept.
    • There's also the the fact that Taii wanted to give Purin a get well basket as thanks for their guidance while they were in the Training Department, as well as Catt actually taking the time to deliver it for them, however brusquely.

Episode 30- 34 (Titania, Nobody Is)
  • When Catt is first told about the workshop in another branch by Shasha, they clearly have no interest in making the trip. What gets them to change their mind? Shasha all but telling them that if they went, Rose and Taii would be able to go with them!
  • In a bizarre, terrifying sort of way, Nobody Is and Titania both finally find what they've looking for when they meet one another. Nobody Is gains its own name and identity after stealing Alex's form and becoming Titania's husband, "Oberon". On the other hand, Titania finally finds—in her own mind—someone she can recognize as her sought-after "husband", whom she'd been seeking since her origination. Love blooms in odd ways, it seems.

    Episode 35 (The Drowned Sisters)
  • Upon learning that Catt is going to be on the night shift to deal with the Drowned Sisters, Taii and Rose unanimously make the decision to accompany Catt on their vigil, so that they won't be left alone doing the job.
  • A while after falling asleep, Catt awakens finding themself alone in the bed. This realization makes them sit up and look about in a panic, only calming down upon seeing Taii and Rose dozing off in another part of the room.

    Episode 36- 39 (Blue-Smocked Shepherd, Reddened Buddy)
  • After Rose and Taii have the difficult task of managing Reddened Buddy and the Blue-Smocked Shepherd described to them, Shasha steps in and gives them some much needed encouragement; Since they and Catt are the most talented Agents in Disciplinary, they have what it takes to handle them.
  • Spending the entire time unable to do anything but hold onto Reddened Buddy while it suffered, Rose is clearly feeling discouraged, but then Catt actually offers them some encouragement, in their own way.
Catt: Some things can't be changed. But that doesn't mean your actions are meaningless.

    Episode 43- 46 (Staining Rose)
  • Taii briefly mentions that Daisy, Joe, and Shasha always have tea together at a certain time. This is apparently done so frequently that Taii and Flower were able to plan their infiltration of the Department Heads' office around it.

    Episode 48- 53 (A Party Everlasting)
  • Even if it's in a middle of an Abnormality breakout, it's cute seeing The Road Home and the Servant of Wrath being friendly with each other, especially considering the Servant's history.
  • Just when Shasha has been cornered and is about to let themself be killed, Joe leaps in just in the nick of time and saves them, which is enough to lift Shasha's spirits up again. Yet no matter how terrifying the situation is, Shasha confesses that the one thing that makes them happy in that moment is knowing that, in the end, they'll be Joe's dearest.
    • This is quickly followed by Daisy making an appearance, which is greeted with just as much happiness by Joe and Shasha. Daisy takes a moment to reminisce about their early days in the company, in which Joe and Shasha did their best to mentor them. After which Daisy thanks the two of them for all they'd done for them.
  • While it sadly doesn't last, Taii's sheer conviction in saving Catt is enough for them to return the latter from their distorted form, using the "Blooming" E.G.O. to combat Catt and make their dream a reality.

    Episode 54 / Epilogue (Flower)
  • In a bittersweet turn of events, though Catt has Distorted back into A Party Everlasting, their final words to Taii are "I won't forget my name." Despite all the pain Catt has gone through and their rejection to return as they once were, they won't forget who they are and it's possible this line means they will wait for Taii to find them again.
  • Despite the sorrow and hardships they've all gone through, a number of survivors—including Beebi and the surviving Team Captains—are shown working together to break out of the ruins of Lobotomy Corporation and helping one another heal.
  • The story ends with Taii—who's now a Fixer of the Bloom Office—descending into the Ruins, stating "Today, I joyfully descend to wonderland again, in search of you," hopeful to find Catt and bring them back once again.
    • Given Word of God comments, Rose lives on through Taii's E.G.O., and in a way is helping Taii save their friend as well.
