Heartwarming / Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins

Go To

  • Daphne's relief that Fred escaped the ghosts; she quickly plays it off but it's enough to show how she cared.
  • When Shaggy and Scooby are caught for being in the school, Shaggy claims he and Scooby were alone. The others stand up for Shaggy and admit they helped to.
  • Velma, Daphne and Fred talking about how they were wrong about how they saw each other. It goes to show how they're learning to respect each other. Without the mystery, they could have kept their ideas.
  • After Scooby gets captured, they all decide that they have to save him.
  • After clearing their names they all go their own way, however they quickly think of another mystery to solve just so they can stay as a team.
  • Also take the whole adventure from Shaggy's sake, he started out as a clumsy Shrinking Violet just trying to make some friends, and despite all the terror he faced during that first mystery, it helped him find the very friends he was looking for. Scooby ended up at his house after trying to escape the ghosts and Shaggy almost immediately adopted him and the two quickly formed a strong, loving bond and became protective of each other, despite knowing each other for a short period of time. He met Fred, Daphne and Velma during detention and despite their different personalities they all ended up bonding and becoming closer while they tried to solve the mystery. Even after the adventure was over, the gang decided to try and find a new mystery to solve just so they could stay a team and Shaggy surprisingly enough, was all for it because he now saw them as his friends. Heck, this sentence alone pretty much explains it all:
Shaggy: (sincerely) Hey, I'd go anywhere with you all.
    • The way he says it shows that despite always being terrified during the mysteries, Shaggy won't quit because he sees the others as his friends and is willing to face danger to be with them.
  • Fred shows some Big Brother Instinct towards Velma when he saves her from the old wall of the basement that was falling on her.
  • Shaggy and Scooby first becoming best friends, with Anarbor's "You and I" playing during the montage.
