Heartwarming / Nutty Professor II: The Klumps

• Unlike Carla Purty, who was polite but visibly uncomfortable in their presence, Denise adores the Klump family and enjoys spending time with them. She isn't disturbed one bit by their monstrous appetites or questionable conversation topics.
• Papa Klump's talk with Sherman when Sherman breaks off his engagement with Denise, encouraging Sherman to get back with her.
  Cletus: You know what's permanent? What me and your momma got. That's permanent.
  • Even more poignant since Cletus is going through his own marital problems during the film.
• Cletus of all people being the one who saves the day by helping Sherman get his intelligence back after forcefully dunking his head in the water fountain contaminated with Buddy Love’s DNA. Denise tried to help him first, but the tiny sips Sherman drank from her hand wasn’t working fast enough. Afterwards, Sherman marries Denise, finally bringing his seemingly fruitless search for love to a close.
