    Volume 1
  • Chapter 1:
    • Taiyo reveals that ever since his family died in a car crash, Mutsumi has been by his side and was the only one he could talk to without getting nervous. She even made him lunches that he likes to cheer him up and ensure he’s well-fed.
    • While annoyed that he’s hard to invite, Taiyo’s male classmates don’t give him too much trouble (minus light teasing) for being unable to socialize with others.
    • Even though he went overboard, Kyoichiro attacks Tanaka when he kept bothering Mutsumi despite her showing no interest in him.
    • The rest of the Yozakura family defends Taiyo when Kyoichiro decides to kill him (thinking he’s targeting Mutsumi), knowing how much he means to Mutsumi and being fine with the idea of the two of them getting married.
    • Mutsumi, at first, rejects the idea of marrying Taiyo, as he’s already suffering enough from the loss of his family and doesn’t want to bring him into another life of danger.
    • Taiyo, realizing how far Mutsumi would go to keep him safe and happy, even not allowing herself to go outside again, agrees to marry her. It’s something she promised a long time ago, to never leave his side.
    • The Yozakura family (minus Kyoichiro) celebrates Taiyo and Mutsumi’s marriage.
  • Chapter 2:
    • After having a mental breakdown when realizing he talked to someone, Taiyo’s classmates freak out and try to figure out ways to help him.
    • Mutsumi is proud that Taiyo is able to talk to people, even if it’s for a short amount of time.
    • When Taiyo has doubts about being the right man for Mutsumi, considering that he selfishly married her to protect her, Mutsumi smacks him and tells Taiyo that she was the one who chose to marry him, not the other way around, and she always thought marrying him would be nice.
    • As Taiyo is about to jump out of the building, Kyoichiro saves him, as he does consider him a part of the family despite wanting to kill him. He even praises Taiyo for noticing the bomb and letting himself die to save Mutsumi.
  • Chapter 3
    • Why does Taiyo want to get stronger? So he won’t be a burden to the Yozakura and to Mutsumi.
    • During the training month, the rest of the Yozakura family begged Taiyo not to go overboard with the training, showing their concern for his well-being. Futaba, despite not liking how far he pushes himself, admires how much effort he’s putting in for Mutsumi’s sake.
    • A small detail, but Taiyo watches a video of Futaba playing with Mutsumi when they were children, showcasing the love the family has for one another.
    • After improving and successfully opening the locked bathroom door in just one month, the Yozakura family congratulates Taiyo, and the ring recognizes him as a part of the family now.
  • Chapter 4:
    • In a flashback, when Mutsumi was being bullied and threatened because of her strange white hairline that wouldn't go away, Taiyo came to the rescue by taking the scissors they were going to use on Mutsumi and cutting his own hair. Because of that incident, the two grew close.
    • Not only did Taiyo retrieve Mutsumi's ring, but he also recovered the other items that Katai had taken as compensation and returned them to their rightful owners.

    Volume 2
  • Chapter 15:
    • Mutsumi brings in a lot of lunch boxes for Taiyo to eat and regain his strength after his last mission.
    • Played for Laughs but Ayaka listed her reasons for her feelings for Taiyo, stating out that it isn’t just because he's a super rookie, but also because of his kindness. During missions, he ensures he doesn't harm any plants, pays for train rides he stows away on, and repairs walls he damages. Mutsumi even nods in agreement about how amazing Taiyo is.
    • Taiyo takes offence to Ayaka calling Mutsumi ugly.
    • Despite Ayaka been hunting down Taiyo all day and involving their classmates in harming him, Mutsumi still saves Ayaka's life by pushing her away from a bullet. Mutsumi explains that she can't let someone who likes Taiyo die, causing Ayaka to realize she's bisexual and loves them both (while still wanting to kill Taiyo, but she wants to be with Mutsumi afterward).

    Volume 3

    • Mutsumi makes a grand feast for Taiyo’s return.
    • Nanao prepares various medicines in case Taiyo needs some first aid.
    • Kengo makes a face mask that resembles Taiyo in case he loses his face during the mission.
    • Shino battles it out against online trolls and haters who are mocking Taiyo.

    • Futaba, unlike the others, has full faith that he’s going to be fine and will pull through.
    • The moment Taiyo returns from his mission, Mutsumi gives him a big hug with tears in her eyes, and everyone (minus Kyoichiro) are happy to see him again.

    Volume 4
  • Chapter 26
    • To celebrate everyone's hard work, Rin gathers ingredients to make a hot pot. Rin even admires how Taiyo didn’t let anyone die during the mission and treats him to extra food.
    • During the chaotic fight between Rin and Kyoichiro, Sui uses Flower to gather some food and gives it not only to Mutsumi but to Taiyo as well. He even tells Taiyo that mastering Flower takes a lot of work without injuries and that Taiyo should be careful, but he can master it one day.
    • Mutsumi, noticing something bothering Taiyo, asks him what’s troubling him. Taiyo explains how, for a moment, he understood why people kill and worries if he finds out the truth of his family’s deaths, he would truly become a killer. Hearing this, Mutsumi kisses Taiyo on the cheek, assuring him that he will still be the same Taiyo, and if not, she will remain by his side.
    • Rin captures Kyoichiro as he is enraged after seeing Mutsumi kiss Taiyo's cheek, telling the two to make a run for it, clearly happy for the two.
  • Chapter 28:
    • Taiyo comes home in the morning, tired from a mission, and crashes on a couch. Not only did Mutsumi stay up for him, but she also put a blanket over him and made him tea.
    • Ayaka suspects Taiyo's odd behavior is because he could be cheating on Mutsumi. However, Mutsumi refuses to believe it, and when the evidence starts piling up against Taiyo, she still lets him tell his side of the story.
    • While it didn’t become a reality, Ayaka became disheartened and worried about Mutsumi being cheated on by Taiyo. Even Mutsumi didn’t get mad at her and tried her best to calm her down from her worries.
    • Karou, the elderly man whom Mutsumi mistook for a girl, noticed the troubled look on her face when she spotted Taiyo and his granddaughter together. He decided to come to the Yozakura Household to clear up the air.
    • The real reason Taiyo was acting weird? He was trying to obtain Kyoichiro's favorite brand of tea, which is hard to come by because it has illegal ingredients. Even after all the crap Kyoichiro puts him through, it's sweet of Taiyo to do something so nice for him.
  • Chapter 31
    • Upon hearing the news that his granddaughter had gotten married, Ban broke out of prison for his job and rushed over not only to congratulate Mutsumi but also to take Taiyo out to celebrate.
    • Ban tells Taiyo how his wife, Keiko, had changed him from a stoic man who barely talked to people to someone happy with a family. This struck a chord with Taiyo, as he noticed the similarities between himself and Ban, realizing that Mutsumi had made him happy and helped him open up.
    • Not only is Keiko still alive, but Ban is still hopelessly in love with her. He had gathered intel to get her presents and was hoping to go on a date. Despite their jobs, Keiko made time for a date before the two had to separate.

    Volume 5
  • Chapter 35:
    • Played for Laughs, but Mutsumi has an emotional breakdown after learning that her parents’ connection led to Taiyo’s family’s death. Indirect or not, the thought that she had made Taiyo suffer made her want to get a divorce so he wouldn’t have to face her. Taiyo calm her down by explaining that what happened is in the past and that Mutsumi is the reason he’s still living.
    • Shino pokes Taiyo in the eye in response to his silly question about whether she would help him find information on his family when the answer was an obvious yes.
    • Despite trying to kill him for making a sound, Taiyo carries Me-Chan’s unconscious body outside to prevent her from getting hurt.
  • Chapter 36
    • During a mission to gather intel on Tanpopo at a hospital, Taiyo and Mutsumi disguise themselves as an elderly married couple who have been together for 50 years. Mutsumi enjoys every moment of this act and even feeds Taiyo.
    • During their stay, Mutsumi expresses how happy she would be if they could retire together when they grow old. However, both of them knows that might be difficult due to their line of work. Taiyo, nevertheless, states that if one of them were to die, he would prefer to go first, as he couldn't imagine a world without Mutsumi. This deeply touches Mutsumi, and she asks him to say it again, much to his fluster.
  • Chapter 37
    • At the beginning of the chapter, Goliath barely likes Taiyo and wouldn't let him ride on top of him like he does with Mutsumi. However, after Taiyo risks his life to protect not only Mutsumi but also Goliath, he gains his trust and is allowed to ride with Mutsumi.
    • Mutsumi, while perfectly fine with being targeted as it's something she has come to accept, becomes completely enraged when Taiyo is caught in the crossfire. She orders Goliath to hunt down the bomber and attack him.
  • Chapter 39:
    • The date between Taiyo and Mutsumi starts off alright but takes a turn when Taiyo becomes paranoid about potential dangers nearby, even missing out on the hints of a potential romantic lore behind the dolphin show. However, Taiyo makes the date into a spectacular one when he controls the dolphins via tech and have them spell out Mutsumi’s name with love underneath. He even apologizes when he realizes his mistake and promises to be by her side, causing Mutsumi to be happy and flustered.
  • Chapter 43:

    • Taiyo, not wanting any more people to die, prevents Seiji from killing Shiro. This actually prompts Shiro to open up and explain what Tanpopo is doing and plotting.

    Volume 7
  • Chapter 53:
    • Mutsumi is completely comfortable sharing a bath with Taiyo since they are married.
    • Taiyo talks about how the trip, despite its chaotic nature, is enjoyable because he gets to relax with his family, and it’s been a long time since he had a family vacation.
    • Mutsumi tells Taiyo what she wanted to share during the trip: that she was kidnapped by Tanpopo when she was in middle school and would have died if she hadn’t been saved. She also mentions that Taiyo being given Yozakura blood was most likely plotted by her dad. Mutsumi then says that being married to her means they share the same problem, but now, she has no idea what to do with her dad being alive and possibly dangerous. Taiyo comforts her with a shoulder hug and tells her that they will meet her dad to see what he has to say and that he’ll introduce himself as Mutsumi’s husband.
    • Kyoichiro, upon seeing Taiyo and Mutsumi bathing together, becomes enraged and wants to attack Taiyo. However, Futaba and the rest of the siblings intervene to save Taiyo and tell the two to run.
  • Chapter 60
    • After a medicine given to Taiyo post-mission turns him into a baby, the whole of the Yozakura family finishes whatever missions they had in progress to come home and check on him. (This includes Shinzo sinking an entire pirate fleet in the middle of the ocean and then swimming home.) The whole family then proceeds to become enamored with baby Taiyo, even including Kyoichiro, which conflicts with his normal hatred of Taiyo so much that he basically goes catatonic on his feet. Even the self proclaimed child disliker Shion makes room for him to sit in her lap while she games.

  • Chapter 65
    • What led to the current conflict between Taiyo and Mutsumi via a card game? Both of them want to give the other the last piece of the Snowman Soufflé by letting the other win, but they can't because they have bad poker faces.
    • Nanao went all the way out to buy another Snowman Soufflé to settle the card game.

    Volume 9
  • Chapter 78
    • During the battle, Ai is suffering from an overdose and could potentially die from the Blooming. Nanao, despite barely knowing her and Ai trying to attack him previously, still tries to save her.
    • Mizuki makes a heroic sacrifice by giving up all his Blooming energy to save Ai, seeing her like his deceased daughter who died during a plague. He had even stopped Ai’s cruel mother in the past from further harming her.

    Volume 10
  • Chapter 82
    • Kawashita manages to not only overwhelm Taiyo but also nearly pushes him to the point of giving up and accepting death. Taiyo starts to believe that an ordinary guy like him shouldn’t have lasted this long anyway. However, at that critical moment, Mutsumi senses that Taiyo is dying and sends him a message, urging him not to give up. This message awakens his Blossom abilities. Taiyo claims that he doesn’t care about the past but is focused on building a future with Mutsumi.
    • The rest of the Yozakura family comes to the rescue, with even Kyoichiro praising Taiyo's hard work.
  • Chapter 86
    • Due to her busy schedule and her desire for Ai to find a good home, Rin entrusts the Yozakura family to take care of Ai and make her happy.
    • Taiyo and Mutsumi quickly become attached to Ai, acting as her surrogate loving parents by playing with her, feeding her, and giving her gifts. Futaba even accepts this situation as she has always wanted to be an aunt.
    • Ai runs away from home, feeling that she doesn’t deserve the happiness she's found with the Yozakura family and missing the doctor who saved her. Taiyo not only finds her and rescues her from a falling tree but also tells her that he understands how she feels and there's no rush for her.
    • The rest of the Yozakura family finishes their missions early and brings gifts to welcome Ai into their family. Kyoichiro even goes overboard and got numerous gifts for her.

During the jog, Taiyo explains that he knows, as a clumsy person, that no matter what he says, he might accidentally upset her. He decides that he will support her no matter what and confesses that during his mission, all he could think about was her, which makes him the happiest. This comment causes Mutsumi's legs to become so weak that Taiyo ends up carrying her.

Mutsumi, embarrassed, states that she's Taiyo's biggest fan. What's sweeter is that Taiyo isn't upset or creeped out by this, but happy to know how much Mutsumi loves him and doesn't want Mutsumi to hide it, much to her relief.
  • Chapter 112
    • Mutsumi becomes a proud mother figure to Ai, overwhelmed with joy and pride at how well she's doing, getting the rare meat and surviving in the forest by herself.
    • Taiyo cleans and cooks while Mutsumi rests, making sure she's okay after the previous battle.
    • The reason Ai went to such lengths to get rare meat is that she wants to make everyone happy and make up for the fact that she wasn't there during their latest mission.

    • After everyone falls asleep, Taiyo asks Mutsumi if it's okay for them to relax like this when they should prepare for possible dangers. Mutsumi assures him that they still need to relax and enjoy themselves, comparing them to the couple in Taiyo's film. But unlike them, they will create a happy ending for themselves.
    • As it turns out, none of the siblings (except Ai) are asleep. They decide not to interfere and let Taiyo and Mutsumi have their sweet moment together. Futaba even restrains Kyoichiro from intervening.
