- In the Golden Ending, Wendell reconiles with Trudy and their kids. He also starts the Tully scholarship fund for the four teens and ends up getting the recognition he's desired for so long. Moreover, Dalton Shmector gets put in prison and the corruption of Ominent is revealed to the world. Wendell goes back to his studies, but says that he's glad he hasn't come up with something yet as he's realized what truly matters is the time you spend with your loved ones.
- Despite the teens' differences, they all put in the effort to help each other out of their small world. At the start of the game, they're acquaintances at best. By the end? All four are Fire-Forged Friends.
- Max and Hoops tend to tease Pete a lot, but they mean it all in good fun and wish he'd come out of his shell more.
- If Hoops gets knocked down and needs help, Pete might cry out while helping her "Get up Ally!". This is one of the very few times Hoops is referred to by her real name, and it shows the growing friendship between the two.
- The 1.4 update adds ant queens, and the option to befriend them with certain offerings. Doing so will net you useful gifts and a cute baby ant pet, as well as a mutation that pacifies other ants. Besides making some areas more manageable (the always hostile fire ants in the upper yard can be an absolute pain otherwise), it can feel genuinely wholesome to be able to make peace with your bug friends.
