Even as Dave is constantly being pushed around and gets passive-aggressive, rude remarks from people, he is without a doubt a nice guy who will help anyone.
- Overall, Dave is a nice guy who, while he sometimes doesn't like to do more work because of being pushed around a lot, he still doesn't hesitate to help people in need.
- Dr. Bacon may be a bit eccentric and makes Dave find works of Sea People, but he isn't selfish and greedy considering he could've published the existence of the Sea People but he doesn't.
- Dave befriending Momo (and eventually his mate Mochi and their kitten) is quite cute enough.
- Mixed with Tearjerker, Maki learning the truth about her father's demise and ultimately making peace with it so she can break out of her shell and fulfil her dream — becoming a Supreme Chef. Hiring and leveling her up leads her to be the only staff to have the highest Cooking stats.
- Otto's reunion with his son MC Sammy is super sweet.
- Dave seems to have a soft spot for cetaceans, going out of his way to rescue multiple wild ones and one tame beluga, and is dismayed when he finds out that Sea Blue are killing dolphins. One gets the feeling he only hunts narwhals in the Blue Hole because they pick fights with him.
- The ending. After being a No-Respect Guy for so long, it's heartwarming to see that Dave's friends do care a lot for him, appreciate the hard work he puts in to aid them, and acknowledge that he's responsible for their successes. The Sea People even make a statue of him for defeating their enemy Yawie and saving the Divine Tree.
