Heartwarming / Clamavi de Profundis

Go To

Clamavi De Profundis has a lot of this. Pretty much everything they've ever made has at least some heartwarming element. Notable examples include:

  • In Oshrad Bonebreaker, after the titular orc tells some of his story to a group of travelers (who don't know who he is or that he's an orc) the elf gleefully talks about launching a genocide on the orcs. Rather than be rightfully enraged, Oshrad calls him "elven friend" and calmly explains why he is wrong.
    • The opening of the song, in which Oshrad states that the worth of his (or anyone else's) existence is defined by their choices. Race and origin don't matter, what matters is what a person does with their life.
  • Rilfas, being a Guardian is basically a god. He stole Negankerdak from the dwarves in a misguided attempt to help them leading to much woe. He could have tried to excuse what he did with In Mysterious Ways, but instead he confesses he messed up and came "too quickly" and wonders if the dwarves would be able to realize he was trying to help. It takes a lot of character for a person to admit they were wrong, but Rilfas is able to.
  • Speaking of which, when Mordaar is entrusted with Negankerdak, the legendary treasure his race has been searching for, he's so happy he almost cries.
