• Damian Wayne, he's actually pleasant and likeable. He self-evaluates himself in order to improve and get better which is an admirable quality. And he and Nightwing/Dick actually get along, very different from the comics and animated films, where they're usually at each other's throats.
  • Also, Damian confiding in Alfred, whom he also does not get along well with in the comics. He still mostly calls him by his last name. But that aside, the two seem to get along rather well.
    • To be entirely fair, butlers are normally called by their last names, like the classic Jeeves. Bruce Wayne calls him "Alfred" for the same reason Alfred calls him "Master Bruce" (the title usually given to a child) — they're family.
• Penguin of all people has a moment when he gives the fish he'd caught to his pet penguin Buzz, instead of eating it himself as he'd intended.
• When Ollie and Damian are talking about Bruce, Ollie explains Bruce is so serious all the time not because he doesn't care about other people. Rather because he cares so much about others.
  Ollie: He cares more than any of us. He has the biggest heart of all. That's why he has to hide it so well.
• Doctor Kirk Langstrom is now the head of Wayne Enterprises R&D.
• Unlike some previous incarnations of the character, once he realizes he was fooled by the Penguin, Mr. Freeze decides to try to help the heroes stop the mutated villain's.
  • Out of all the heroes it's Damian who trusts Mr. Freeze first.
• As Penguin and the others are being taken away to Arkham (or jail). Damian feels sympathy for Mr. Freeze.
• When Penguin recruits Arkham inmates, Two-Face flips his two-headed coin and says he doesn’t deserve freedom when it lands on the un-scarred side. Of course, Penguin wasn’t interested in recruiting Two-Face anyway, but it’s still a good sympathetic portrayal of the latter villain.
• Seeing people of Gotham enjoy the sudden snow shower before the villains really amp up their efforts is cute, as is the reprise of this scene afterward, with some kids making a Batman snowman.
• There are several little moments of cuteness during the efforts to save people from the avalanches and monsters (a man stopping to help his girlfriend when she trips, a woman Flash brings to safety comforting her baby, etc.).
