• When the police search the house, how did they not notice what must have been dozens of large bullet holes in the walls?
  • Daddy's apparently a very good fix-it man, considering he rigged all the booby-traps and barriers in the house. He's surely had a lot of practice plugging or concealing bullet holes as well, given the number of dolls Alice had made for previous victims.
    • Plus, with an affluent, well-to-do family like that, how likely is it that the police would give more than a cursory examination of the premises?
  • Considering how Crazy-Prepared the couple seem to be for intruders or escapees, it's possible they have a closet full of framed pictures they can quickly hang over any telltale holes, as well as throw rugs to mask bloodstains.
