• Simon shouldn't really be worrying about interest on that four thousand pounds, inflation is a more evident problem than a non existent interest agreement. Four thousand pounds in 1996 is worth twice that in 2016.
  • Sick Boy doubtlessly knows about the concept of inflation as a scam artist. He's saying "interest" as a shorthand rather than to refer to "a non existent interest agreement". The longhand is "you owe me for screwing me as a mate, for waiting 20 years to compensate me, for all of those 20 years the money was subjected to inflation, and just about everything else you've ever pissed me off about, and the interest is much more than a poxy 4 grand in 2016 money, ya doss cunt!"
