• These Klingon warriors seem to have remarkably long lifespans considering their love of dying in glorious battle.
  • Klingon's are not suicidal, they are bloodthirsty. They don't go seeking death but do wish a "good" death. A long lived Klingon is one who is good at what they do. Well ones like the legendary three are.
  • Exactly; as observed regarding Cohen the Barbarian and others in the Discworld series, Klingons are Old Soldiers who may "look old enough to be dead", but are extremely skilled fighters because they have a lifetime's experience of not dying.
• Why do these Klingons look different than they did in the TOS era? “Trials and Tribulations” established that Koloth did once look different.
  • Acording to Enteripise the look we saw in TOS was the result of an Augment Virus. presumably in between the series they got surgery.
  • ENT also specified that the augment virus was eventually cured. Maybe they just got better.
  • You could also just go with Worf's response that they do not talk about it.
