Headscratchers / Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?

Go To

  • In a world where both Wonder Woman and the Funky Phantom are completely real, why is a real, immortal Sherlock Holmes an impossibility?
    • To be fair, their Arbitrary Skepticism falls on Mudsy as well. Thus, while it may or may not be possible, they find it unbelievable.
    • It's possible that they (or at least Velma) don't actually believe Wonder Woman has superpowers. An invisible jet isn't much beyond some of the mechanical pseudo-spooks they've exposed in past adventures, technology-wise; her displays of strength in front of the gang weren't too far off-the-charts except in Scooby's daydream; and the confessions could've been pure power of suggestion (not to mention its wielder intimidating the hell out of people) at work, not the lasso's magic. If Diana wants to claim she's thousands of years old and cosplay an "ancient Amazon warrior" while battling criminals, that's her business, not theirs.
    • Even if there were a real immortal Sherlock Holmes, the guy in the episode definitely ain't he.
  • Why are the writers being so lazy and not giving the culprits full names?
    • It's something of a Call-Back to the original series, which had such culprits as Mr. Voltner and Old Man Wickles.
    • Plus, with episodes so pressed for time that this incarnation cut the theme song down to just one verse, they can't spare the seconds for more than a cursory characterization for suspects.
  • While other DC characters have crossed over with Scooby Doo before, this basically means that the Scooby Doo gang is in the DC universe, right?
    • Well, more like one of the many universes that make up the DC Comics multiverse, but yes.
