How did Charlie get her phone back?
- The last I saw Charlie's cell phone in the pilot, Cliff was holding it listening to the recording she made of the plan to screw Caine over. I don't think I saw Cliff give it back, so how did Charlie have it for Sterling Sr. to make his phone call?
Where Was Charlie Listening From?
- In "Exit Stage Death", Charlie spends her time working at the theater listening to rain on Airpods, until Kathleen throws them in a pot of water after Charlie interrupts her monologue. The thing is, Charlie of course got rid of her cell phone in the pilot, so what were the Airpods playing from?
- Maybe she picked up an mp3 player?
Charlie On Etsy
- How did Charlie get that T-shirt of Joyce and Irene with Gabriel from Etsy without a credit card?
- Pre-paid debit card, paid for with cash.
- Or even just got a friend to put it on their card and paid them back in cash.
So, Does Charlie Just Have a Superpower?
- Several times during the series, Charlie's ability is completely fooled by people using Exact Words. But some of those people were very intentionally deceiving her or others, which I would assume would involve similar nervousness (and therefore potential tells) to just straight-up lying. She also picks up on mundane lies with 100% accuracy, even though those lies would likely involve little to no nervousness at all, and is a Horrible Judge of Character (judging by how often she voices her suspicions to the murderers themselves), so she's clearly not just very good at reading people. Is this some sort of superpower, or is there some other explanation for how she's 100% accurate, but only with direct lies?
- This is speculation, but yeah. Her ability seems like something they're putting out and saying "just go with it".
