    Julian, a Tagabantay?
  • Well we didn't see him use the Bakal na Krus at all?
    • Subverted, He was able to summon the Bakal na Krus to his hands from Juan's.
    Female Aswangs
  • Yes there was Laura, but how about other fully-tranformed female aswangs. Yes there was the baybaylan and other nameless female aswangs in their human form but why we see none of them fully transform.
    • The aswang society is a patriachal one, with males save the wife of the Haring Aswang who has the most say.
    • Subverted, In My Little Juan, the series' midquel though, when Margie transformed into an aswang.
    Philippine-isolated conflict
  • Yeah we saw many other worlds in the series, the engkanto, kapre, nuno, tiyanak and tikbalang realms. The settings of the human world is rather restricted in the Philippines though due to the series being created by Filipinos for Filipinos.
    • America is mentioned when Ben and Cora considered moving with their adopted daughter Rosario, to America, where some of their relatives live. Apparently the rest of the world doesn't care with the supernatural events happening the Philippines even though a hegemonic rougue diwata by the name of Peru-ha threatens to conquer the human world with her vast army of aswangs, kapre, nuno and tiyanaks. No Americans to come to aid? maybe the Visiting Forces Agreement does not cover supernatural threats? Maybe the rest of the world is too distracted, with their own supernatural problems. Which involves vampires and werewolves perhaps?
    Peru-ha's Alive?
  • After Peru-ha's Last Stand at Luneta, she was still alive although barely. Juan was supposed to wipe out all of his side's adversaries including Peru-ha with his White Light. Peru-ha apparently survived and was able to separate the Anak ng Dilim from Juan with her remaining powers.
    • Maybe the Bakal na Krus is less effective against generally benevolent Engkantos and Diwatas. Peru-ha was a diwata.
    Santana's Gender Orientation
  • Is Santana, male or female? Or a gay man?
    • Santana is portrayed by Vice Ganda, who is part of the LGBT community in real life who also portrays gay characters
    • Santana is reffered to as gender neutral Pinuno ng mga Tikbalang (Leader of the Tikbalangs) for most of the series. However Santana was reffered to as Reyna ng mga Tikbalang (Queen of the Tikbalangs) in one promotional material.
    • Santana also shares Vice Ganda's personality, humor and mannerism.
    • If Vice Ganda portrayed him/her it is safe to assume that Santana is gay or at least Ambiguously Gay
    Shirtless aswangs
  • When an aswang fully transforms they become shirtless.
    • Its mind boggling that they leave no trace of their clothes
    • Well explain this, a fully transformed aswang who is not topless. Maybe he fully transforms first then wears his badass jacket.
    Whereabouts of Santana's Father
  • Santana said that his father, Lazaro was wrongfully executed by the Engkanto Kingdom for a crime his father didn't commit while Reyna Nerea said that he was acquitted by Kanla-on. Santana denied this, his father still hasn't return to their realm.
    • After Santana made a Faceā€“Heel Turn, he was surprised to find out that his father was well and alive.
    • Why didn't Lazaro go back to the Tikbalang realm as soon as the portal connecting the Tikbalang and Engkanto realms were opened to calm down his revenge-seeking son.
    • Perhaps Santana's father is just testing him if he will decide to make a face-heel turn or be killed at the hands of the Tagabantay who seeks to rescue the Engkanto Kingdom's princess.
    The Ending
  • After the epic battle at Luneta and the death of Peru-ha and the Anak ng Dilim, Juan and Rosario finally got married. They live happilly ever after. What now? Will Juan continue to be the Tagabantay, now that there are no aswangs left?
    • Not necessarily, how about if there were aswangs who didn't took part at the epic battle. The aswang women and children with some of them willing to take revenge? Even Datu Bangaraw didn't vanquish all the aswangs, he just reduced their influence. Maybe Juan's future son or daughter will be the next Tagabantay.
    • Or this is really the end, the Bakal na Krus will just be reminder of Juan's epic battles never to be seen again.
