Diego Silang and Andres Bonifacio were Tagabantays and Juan's ancestors
- At the start of the series we saw and heard on how the Tagabantay and aswangs came to be in an animated narrative. We saw this
◊, who may be Diego Silang and this◊, who may be Andres Bonifacio. Both are considered as heroes of Philippine histories.
All non-human characters are alien of origin
- The engkantos and diwatas are actually aliens and magic is really advanced alien technology. Peru-ha somehow stole banned alien technology such as brainwashing device and DNA-altering tech. Which explains How she once created the first aswangs from originally human beings. These devices are not in a visible form such as a ray gun but hidden within the bodies through genetics or nanotechnology which makes early 21st century humans perceive application of these tech as "magic" or "superpowers".
- Wait why do the use primative bow and arrows?
- Don't be fooled, they are equipped with high-tech enhancement. Maybe the arrows have anti-matter shells or are nanotech enhanced.
- Aswangs are genetically altered humans by Peru-ha.
- Likewise, tikbalangs, kapres, nunos and tiyanaks are aliens too.
- The Tikbalang (Galactic) Kingdom are allied to the Engkanto (Galactic) Kingdom. Relations between the two civilizations were strained when Reyna Nerea imposed death penalty over the leader of the Tikbalangs which caused a standoff between Reyna Nerea's forces and Santana's forces until Juan interferes and resolved the diplomatic strain between the two galactic empires.
- The portals are not magical portals to another realm but rather wormhole portals to other planets.
- The Engkantos probably instructed a Spanish priest-blacksmith to craft the Bakal na Krus. He created the cross and the Engkantos infused the cross with nanotechnology. The technology is locked by a password which was unlocked by Datu Bangaraw through "prayer". The cross only recognizes people who shares DNA with Datu Bangaraw thus only he and his descendants can use it.

Peru-ha created other beings aside from the aswangs
- If Peru-ha did turn Datu Alipio and his constituents into the first aswangs then she also created the tikbalangs, tiyanaks and kapres. Remember, she turned Laura into a mananangal.
- Tikbalangs were originally horses or horsemen.
- Tiyanaks were babies or aborted babies.
- Kapres originally came from a tribe of tall people.
- Maybe Peru-ha also created other hostile Philippine cryptids that were not mentioned in the show. Which Juan takes care of after the show.
The series is set in the same universe as Ang Probinsyano
While Juan deals with supernatural threats Cardo deals with more mundane national threats such as criminality and political corruption. Cardo has dealt with Samuel's aswang syndicate but has left it to Juan to deal with the issue since he is facing another criminal group. Of course this is assuming that in universe the characters dont look like the actors who portrayed them.
