• Why doesn't The Other Version of You offer to sacrifice themself to get you out of the mansion? In theory she could save herself a lot of grief and trauma by retconning most of her time in the mansion away, since she made at least half of her stay in the mansion unhappen.
  • Possibly desperation? It is shown that those who stay in the mansion for too long turns into a monster, as demonstrated when tentacles explode out of Other-You's eye. If, after you kill her, you exit the room, a monster will suddenly appear out of the room and kill you, which proves that even corpses aren't exempt from the mansion's corruption. If she escapes, it'll take time for you to change. Maybe she hoped to create a closed loop of some sort to avoid any iteration of you from turning?
    • Rather than a straight Time Loop, it instead looks more like several alternate universes are colliding with each other within the mansion. The reference to Schrodinger's Cat suggests Many Worlds Theory is at play, so all of these different girls would be versions of the player that made slightly different choices while inside the mansion, not necessarily "past" or "future" versions of the player. Therefore, the player character escaping does not guarantee that the Other Version of her that was trapped in the mansion will suddenly be retconned out of it. The Other Version of the player character probably figured this out sometime during her stay in the mansion.

• Just what was that yellow-skinned version of the girl with the Nightmare Face? Unless I missed something, I don’t think it’s ever really been hinted what it could be or why it’d suddenly appear. Heck, it’s never even acknowledged by the girl beyond shrugging off as a dream. It might as well be a Big-Lipped Alligator Moment.
  • Using evidence from Stygian, it could be possible that the "dreams" are either representations of the Other-You's that died, corrupted by the manor's influence, or visions representing whatever Eldritch Abomination is in there trying to possess your body. Maybe.
    • Okay. Either of those sound plausible. But what about the ghostly version with the male(?) sprite that only appears in one room at a certain point in the game, walking quickly towards as you're about to exit then is never seen again after you leave? It's never even in any way acknowledged and it doesn't even seem to chase you after you exit. At first I thought it was a rare occurrence, but then I've seen it appear to every other player as well. I don't know what'd happen if you let it catch up to you, but what was that about?

• Who's the person with the bandaged face? Is it another version of you, someone from the cult or another person entirely? When you tell Other-You about them, she doesn't know what you're talking about. Is she lying to deflect suspicion or telling the truth? Does this indicate that Bandage-Person isn't a constantly recurring element throughout the time loops?
  • According to game files, the person with bandaged face is another version of you.
