• The epilogue section on S1 episode 32 was first aired on NHK on November 7th, 1995 that showed Azuki and Yūnosuke holding their imaginary future children, a boy and a girl who appeared to look like their respective parents, explained in a form a picture drawn on Japanese craypas utensils. At the time of the release of this particular anime episode, the manga was not finished. This epilogue from this anime episode at the end foreshadows the conclusion in the original manga where both lovers became husband and wife with two children, fraternal twins who were a boy and a girl. It is possible that Production Foreshadowing comes into play in which this particular anime episode influenced the direction of the writer to create this specific conclusion.
• Jindama does not like boys and it is odd that she is close to Azuki and Kaoru who have positive feelings towards the other gender.
