    Melee Items
  • Considering how wide the range is, and how far you knock back enemies you hit, the Fish becomes one in maps with environmental hazards or bottomless pits, like Betaislands. The speed boost when using it only adds to the power.
  • The comically large weapons and the Wand tend to knock back the enemy pretty far when landing a hit. Taken up to eleven with the Wand, which knocks the enemy so far, they often glitch out of the map and die.
  • The Real Knife is "Instant Death" Radius incarnate. It has the highest DPS of all the melee weapons, it launches knife beams after a certain amount of kills, and getting enough kills with it allows you to obtain an item that restores your hp and makes you even more powerful. The knife beams were later nerfed to only appear when performing a specific move, and are also significantly delayed, though the insane DPS remains.
  • Night Reaper. Like the Fish, it gives you a massive speed boost, but it trades out the massive knockback for a Double Jump, which when combined with other speed-boosting items like Cassieblox coffee, can make the user almost fast as parkour, which is a dedicated speedbooster item. To make matters worse, it also has DPS almost on par with real knife for anyone too close to it. The double jump ability was later nerfed to have a cooldown, meaning that its' users have to be more careful when using it.
  • Wallace's Hammer had a neat little quirk to it: If they player hits somebody with it, the weapon's cooldown is decreased. However, if they didn't hit someone with it, the cooldown would gradually reset. This was later changed so that the cooldown reset was removed, and if the user hits their enemies with it enough times, it can potentially have better DPS than the aforementioned Real Knife, and the fact that it also boosts your speed when equipped helps a lot.

    Ranged Items
  • America. It's similar to the Death Note, although it's a ranged weapon instead of a miscellaneous weapon. However, unlike the Death Note, it also flings the user at insane speeds upon using it, almost always instantly killing the user too. That said, it's still an instant death if the user doesn't miss, so, if somebody is targeting you with it, you might as well say goodbye to your kill streak.Note
  • The M1911. It's a gun with seven shots per clip, with each bullet dealing high enough damage to kill somebody in one clip. It's easy to get a lot of kills with the M1911, thanks to the high damage of the gun.
  • There's also the Airpod Shotty, for a different reason than intended. Deals high damage if you hit the enemy, however, what makes it a game breaker is the recoil. It's strong enough to reach places that you normally wouldn't be able to reach, like the roof of the Bowling Alley in Bowling. The only drawbacks are that you can only hold 2 shots per clip, and that you have to be kinda precise if you want to hit somebody. The recoil is more than enough to make the weapon a game breaker, though.
  • The Ssg-08 (formerly called generic sniper), post-8.0 update. Prior to that, it had poor hit detection, making quickscopes with it difficult. After the update, not only was its hit detection more reliable, but gaining enough kills with it allowed players to upgrade it to the AWP, which deals serious damage on a body shot, and is a guaranteed instant death on the head. This makes it absolutely deadly in long range, and is no slouch at close range either if you're good at quickscoping.
  • Ebony and Ivory. Initially, it was considered to be average, with Demonic Infusion lasting until a certain amount of time has passed or the player lets go of the trigger, and the massive spread was to balance out the damage they could do at longer ranges. The Mihawk update, however, reworked the guns entirely, and it is much more dangerous compared to its initial state: Ebony fires a single bullet that is always accurate, and Ivory fires 3 bullets in a burst that is slightly less accurate that Ebony, and Demonic Infusion boosts their damage to ludicrous levels, and it instead lasts until they are used a certain amount of times, which can be extended if the player has Ultra Instinct, meaning that after killing a player with it, they could then use the infused guns to shoot another player with the remaining charges. Finally, Rainstorm has a massive AOE and slows anyone in its vicinity, leading them vulnerable to a follow-up with a infused Ebony and Ivory. The only drawback to this is that Demonic Infusion does not work with Rainstorm. The damage output was later nerfed and the autofire alongside other guns was disabled for it, but the latter was reverted in a hotfix afterwards.
  • Intervention is the first weapon in-game that allows you to aim down with it. Already good enough due to being a sniper, the gun has a neat little trick that requires some dexterity: Quickscoping with it causes the bullet to be instant death to those without more than 100 health. This means that if a person is experienced enough, they essentially have an AWP without needing to grind kills for it.
  • The Trench Shotgun can hit surprisingly well outside its range, averting Short Ranged Shotgun. Not only that, but it also has a more reliable way of instantly one-shotting an enemy in point blank range. Not convinced? It also has a melee attack that ragdolls enemies, leaving them vulnerable to a point blank bodyshot.
  • After the Valentines update, Cero Metralleta was turned into Lilynette, which still maintains it's original ability while gaining some new tricks: A regular attack that deals 20 damage and can pierce through walls, and a Sonido step witch allows for easy evasion.

    Misc Items
  • The Death Note. All you have to do is click on a player when it is pulled out and they will instantly be killed. Doesn't matter how much health or what status boost they have. The worst part is that it can be done on practically anyone you click on, making its range ginormous. The only methods to survive the attack is to either wear a Franklin Badge or perform a well-timed Shine. So powerful is this weapon that spawning it in boss fights is only possible in Private Servers.
  • The Pact is worse than the Death Note despite technically not instantly killing, as it syncs the target's HP to yours and kills one end of the chain when the other dies - including suicides, meaning resetting or jumping into an environmental hazard will instantly dispose of your target. Like the Death Note, it has unlimited range, but it cannot be reflected through any means.
  • Absolutely nothing compares to the power of Bobm.Note It is a nuclear bomb that, when activated, will explode and instantly kill anyone close to it. And the explosion is big. The only real downside is that the user is guaranteed to die. But if you can pull it off in a crowded area, it's absolutely worth it. This is why simply pulling one out can result in other players running immediately.
  • The Scroll item gives our a random spell for its user to cast, and these are considered to be the most powerful of them all:
    • Mori shoots an innocuous white orb that creates a small purple explosion when it hits a player or the environment. What does this explosion do? Kill anybody in its radius instantly, just like the Death Note. And it has infinite uses. Held back by its rarity, and the chance of it backfiring and killing the user instead the more its used. If the user doesn't hit themselves with it instead, that is. Unlike the Death Note, it can spawn in boss fights, likely due to the randomized nature of scroll, and having one in these is considered a sign of good luck. It also gained a Snap variant which has the user firing 8 of them, ensuring that someone will die even with defense multipliers.
    • Fimbulvetr has the tooltip "It's time to run" for a good reason. It summons an huge icicle that deals good damage and knockback and has a massive radius. It used to have a drawback where casting it too far like the Bible will result in it backfiring and hitting the user instead, but this was removed in exchanged for having a Snap variant, which summons an hailstorm instead. The only maps it won't work on are the ones with incredibly cramped spaces like Smallplate, though this can be used as a poor man's Bobm.
    • Manus Dei is similar to Fimbulvetr, except it trades Fimbulvetr's fast projectile speed in exchange for a more dangerous Snap variant, it which its user summons a meteor storm that deals damage, ignites people and knocks them back.
    • Gelidus was regarded as similar to Ignis due to having similar attacks, albeit with it freezing instead of igniting people. With the release of its Snap variant, this allows the user to go through anywhere they want, being a superior mobility tool compared to all the rest. The only drawback is that if the user casts it for too long, they will start having their health decrease.
  • Judgement deals damage based on the amount of kills their enemies had. Already a nice way to get rid of players with massive killstreaks, it has an interesting quirk in Zombie Survival, where it downright ignores the kill amount and instead deals a fixed 100 damage to every zombie in its radius. Oh, and stunning their users won't stop it; you have to kill them quickly before they can use it. The only thing it can't instantly kill in Zombie Survival is a Tank, but if they happen to be armed with the other game-breakers, c'est la vie.
  • Cloud in a bottle gives you a Double Jump, much like Night Reaper. Already enough to outdo the other speed-boosters, it was discovered that it is possible to do a triple jump with Night Reaper, but this requires the player to activate Cloud in a bottle's double jump ability first.
  • Fortnite Card gives out random items to the player, but it also has a unique category of items that are only available by using this. Three of them are regarded as the most powerful:
    • Mad Handgun is normally exclusive to the MU gamemode, but it also has a chance of spawning from the Fortnite card. For some reason, it still retains the incredibly huge damage on a headshot, meaning that any player that doesn't have their health above 137.5 is dead the moment their head gets shot by this gun. And unlike the rest of the guns mentioned above, it did not get hit with the damage falloff nerf, meaning that it can potentially serve as a better Ssg-08.
    • 5 Star Edward Newgate. It essentially screws with the user's interface much like speed, except it persists through multiple lives, effectively disabling them for around 30 seconds, which is enough time to kill them a lot of times over.
    • End. Dear Lord, End. It does Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Like America, it will instantly kill an opponent at the cost of the user's life, but unlike America, the instant kill won't happen until the user clicks on them, and they have no visual indicator of them having it out. This makes it very easy to end someone's kill streak by simply having End equipped and then obliterate them.
  • Even being a watered-down Master Spark doesn't stop Cero Metralleta from being a pretty dangerous sight. Not only does it require a full-kill to charge up, but getting past the charge up gives you 50 more defense, makes you immune to ragdolling attacks and is capable of shredding through someone's entire HP in milliseconds. Couple that with the only drawback being reduced speed, and you're essentially a 13-second Advancing Boss of Doom.
  • The Cross Pendant has some pretty interesting items you can get provided you're not unholy, but Garcia's Shotgun is arguably the best of them all. It's a shotgun that for some reason, does some pretty respectable damage at long ranges, and can one-shot if fired at point-blank range. And it has infinite clip size, with only a slight delay to compensate.
  • Hellion is what happens when you combine the speed of Parkour with the lethality of the already-deadly Fish, granting you a devastating weapon, alongside the benefit of being totally immune to knockback as long as you have it out. While it is offset via a -50% defense penalty, there's not much one can do against a Hellion user before getting turned into roadkill.
    • After Version 1.5.0, Hellion was reworked into the less-versatile Honk, but it's pre-rework version was rechristened as the Hot Rod Rider, obtainable after beating THE SKELETON on a perfect run. Aside from having a smaller hitbox, it's just as deadly as it's predecessor was.

    Kits

The KIT gamemode was introduced in the Summer Update, and with it came the ability for kits to have the aforementioned game-breakers. Of course, there are some noteworthy Kits that stand out:

  • Major League Gamer gives the player Intervention alongside Cheems Cola and Pizza Rolls. The Intervention is good enough as it is, but adding healing options to it is a great way to extend the longevity of the user. However, a downside is that your move speed is dialed down a bit, and with no melee options, will make it hard to escape close quarters situations.
  • Explosives Expert gives you China Lake, a Grenade, and Bobm on a Stick. The massive tankiness is very beneficial to them, as they can survive their own explosions, and makes Bobm on a stick take more hits to self-destruct their user.
  • JUMPSCARE WARNING gives you Wand, Distraction, and Speed. Having a item that deals massive knockback is one thing, but adding a way to hide oneself, distract enemies, or both is very beneficial to them, as it allows them to sneak up on enemies and knock them back without detection.
  • R: Feast gives out a massive damage boost alongside Smile and Vampirism, resulting in the former actually likely to deal decent damage on its initial form, and Vampirism can drain health from its victims faster.
  • $5025 Kit gives the player a Pixel Rifle, Lucille and a Wish Vest. The Wish vest can give the player a random number of maximum HP, but the real deal is the Pixel Rifle, which essentially is a better Chicago. While obtaining it requires the player to get a decent amount of kills with Pixel Gun, having it straight off the bat is a deal-breaker for many. Lucille's Vampire Bat ability also allows them to lifesteal some enemies if they feel threatened up close.
  • To a lesser extent, Call of Duty. It's similar to the above, but instead, they have a Makarov, allowing the player to finish off an enemy if the Pixel Rifle didn't outright kill them.
  • To an even lesser extent, Where We Dropping?. It also has the Pixel Rifle, but it has Go Mining and Parasol. While it has a decreased damage multiplier, the decrease is very small, and Go Mining can be used as a more reliable emergency weapon compared to Lucille in exchange for not having a lifesteal ability.
  • God of Hyperdeath equips the user with Chaos Sabers, Cero Metralleta and Master Spark. While it does take a while to get there thanks to Chaos Sabers' sluggish attacks, once they do... Hoo boy. Cero Metralleta fires a series of beams for a total of 375 damage, enough to fill up Master Spark which fires a beam for 607.5 damage, and vice-versa. Experienced players can rinse and repeat for this until they die or mess up.
  • Godspell Mage equips the user with Fimbulvetr, Manus Dei and Percutiens. The former two allows its user to literally rain hell on their opponents, while Percutiens allows the user to push away those too close to them.
  • Ohh that Combo Cold equips the user with Freeze Ray, Gelidus, and Fimbulvetr. The Snap variant of Gelidus can allow the player to reposition themselves to a better place, while Fimbulvetr allows them to snipe other players from a distance, making it incredibly valuable in maps such as Chimney Canopy. The Freeze Ray, while weaker, can be used as a combo with Gelidus by freezing enemies with the ray and then casting Gelidus to push them off.
  • Early 2010's Humor equips the user with Dinner Blaster, Intervention, and Master Spark. Intervention's massive quickshot damage means it can fill up Master Spark pretty quickly, and when done right, allows the user to endlessly quickscope enemies while firing beams to retaliate against players attempting to get close to them.
  • The Priest is armed with a Cross, Garcia's Shotgun, and a Bible. The Bible can be used to smite enemies from a distance, while Garcia's Shotgun can also blast away those who are attempting to get too close.
  • No More equips the user with Michael P, witch is already a High-Tier Scrappy on its own, but worsens it with Ultra Instinct's health boost and Dead's speed boost, making you near unstoppable and very difficult to deal with.
  • Soul Survivor gives you Hook Kick, Grand Javelin and Soba Kick, all of them capable of ragdolling people. Making matters worse is the fact it gives you 300 HP, and a devastating 2.25x damage multiplier, giving it the rare honor of being the deadliest kit to date.
  • Mr. Shakedown gives built different, retro essence and ultra instinct. and gives 1.5x damage mulipiler, 25% defense and whoppin over 550 health with ultra instinct, which is the second-most health obtainable in KIT.note  much like Soul Survivor, all of their weapons capable of ragdolling people.
