• The backstory to the first of the X-Wing training missions, "Dev's Sidestep". The titular pilot was running through the Maze, when he accidentally hit the hyperdrive, dumping him in the middle of an Imperial training facility. Not realizing the rows of parked TIE fighters were actually manned ships and not targets, he began to mow them down, unaware that his R2 unit was telling him he was in Imperial territory and needed to get out of there as soon as possible.
• One of the Star Destroyers in this game is literally named Badi Dea, in a mission where the Rebels attempt to raid a stray container full of foodstuffs by means of a single pilot and an unescorted freighter, with predictable results. It may be a mockery to the player, but it's still sure to get a chuckle out of anyone behind the flight stick.
• One mission has a Mon Calamari Cruiser named ''Stimsenj'kat'', along with several transport craft named ''Renhoek''.
