• Ai's image of her father, to contrast with Hampnie's appearance—a huge burly man in his forties firing a heavy machine gun and screaming his head off at a random giant purple cobra-headed hydra monster.
• Hampnie describes the concept of scholastic achievement to Ai as "they rank kids who are a nuisance to society by age and put them in places called 'schools'".
  • This gets a call back in episode 7 when Ai is kidnapped and forced into Goran Academy, and thanks to Hampnie's words she's completely unfazed, which surprises and confuses her classmates.
