• After Marla first meets Scott, she "casually" drops by his place of work in order to see him again. She unfortunately makes the mistake of asking Cooper of all people to come with her so that it looks like she's just there to check out the new restaurant. Marla's attempts to play it cool are ruined by Cooper shouting at the top of his lungs about the 'piece of man-candy' that she's wanting to hook up with, while Scott is standing right behind him.
• Marla worries about how the Kitchen Town staff are feeling when their store is closed. Needless to say, they seem quite excited by it, because they can finally tell customers what they really think. Cooper even offers to volunteer there.
• Marla's about to tell Scott about an awful customer when he accidentally 'one-ups' her by mentioning the time a customer threw a bar stool at him.
• Cooper tells Marla that he got a free pack of M&M's from the vending machine, and she protests that they're hers; they got stuck when she tried to buy them earlier. Cooper than gives an oddly impressive speech about how Marla has to blame the vending machine company, not him.
• An unusually well-dressed Cooper pretends to be Stuart to a complaining customer and is brutally honest about how retail works.
• When Courtney tries to get out of her Friday night shift yet again, Marla is wise to her tricks. Courtney points out that Marla is the stupid one for putting her on Friday night shifts if she know she's going to bail, Marla responds by putting her on bathroom duty.
• Marla tries and fails to rib on customers when both Val and Cooper respond using logic.
• Both Marla and Stuart's response to her having two days off in a row.
• Marla's distressed to find that she actually likes the in-store music.
• Val's over the top reaction to Marla meeting her doppelganger Zoe.
• Marla has an "average" day.
• Stuart has issues with Wal-Mart.
• An elderly customer wants to return a gift before Christmas; her husband saw it on the credit card statement, and demanded he get something else. So she returns it and instead gets him a children's book about manners.
• A customer asks Val to locate her husband.
• Cooper has a nightmare about a naked Stuart popping out of an Easter egg.
• The Grumbel's employees know that Scott is planning to propose to Marla; and they aren't subtle about it in the slightest.
• After an entire week of trying to guess if Stuart has a love life, Marla finally flips. She even offers to work his shift just to find out who sent him flowers.
  • While ultimately disappointed to find out they're from his sister, Marla rejoices at the fact that Stuart is human.
• Poor Cooper is so sleep deprived from working extra hours to take Val to see a show on Broadway, he starts to do some strange things.
• Amber has her reasons for wanting to leave her old job.
• Marla has an evil plan to try and get Courtney to apply for another job.
• Lunker has his own unique way of dealing with shoplifters.
• Stuart gets a rare funny moment with a complaining customer.
• When she's made store manager, Marla is finally able to get revenge on Courtney for her bad attitude. Courtney must smile at all times while at work and it's absolutely hilarious.
• Stuart tries and fails to make a scary District Manager appearance.
• Stuart pretends to shoplift something in order to test how well trained the staff are. Turns out Lunker has an innate gift for stopping thieves.
• Arthur has a different take on how to respond to the "Hahah, it must be free!" joke.
• Much to Cooper's own despair, he becomes the customer who shows up just before the shop closes.
• Cooper comes up with a unique solution to fit the Thanksgiving turkey in his tiny car.
• Amber ends up putting her foot in her mouth when a customer tries to return an 'ugly' sweater.
• Marla's not sure whether a 'service iguana' is real or not, but she's not taking any chances.
• Lunker dressing as Totoro for Halloween.
• A customer (yet again) tries to haggle the price of a product. Cooper quite literally has a trick up his sleeve.
• A customer really likes Halloween and has the evil laugh to match.
