• While he's usually a jerkass, Stuart congratulates Marla on both her wedding and pregnancy, and even gives her $100 as a gift for the former.
• Cooper working 70 hour weeks just to be able to afford to take Val to New York to see a musical on Broadway. Made all the sweeter by the fact that poor Cooper isn't well off at all.
• Marla and Scott making up after an argument about getting married. The arc leading up to the reconciliation also contained a bonus heart warmer in the form of Cooper taking it upon himself to talk to Scott about the situation, noting that Marla is "like my big sister."
• Marla is the one to give Cooper his yearly review, and apologises that she can only score him as average, giving him just a 2% raise. However Cooper is delighted by this, and hugs a very surprised Marla in gratitude.
• After Marla paid him $20 to take a fall at the 'Wheel of Prizes' audition so she had a better shot of getting on the show, Cooper returns the money when Marla loses to the other contestant.
• When the new District Manager Connie compliments Marla on all of her hard work, and calls her the best assistant manager in the area.
• Cooper admitting to himself that he has a crush on Val.
• Marla and Val are grateful that the holidays will soon be over, but are won over when an adorable child wishes them a 'Mewwy Chwistmas'
• It's been shown time and time again that Cooper is struggling to make ends meet, but he's always willing to lend his friends money if they need it, and refuses to take money off Val when she asks for a ride home.
• Lunker's immediate reaction to Cooper being let go is to ask why he isn't being let go instead. He then gets upset on Cooper's behalf and then suggests that they share the job, even if it means cutting his own hours in half.
• Both parts funny and heartwarming; Feuti let his daughter write a comic for her eighth birthday.
  • She wrote another one when she was 11.
• Despite the crossed wires about the situation, Stuart seems genuinely happy for Marla about her engagment, and even offers advice.
• Scott finally asks Marla to marry him.
• No matter how much she complains about them, Marla always looks out for her customers.
• Cooper finally gets the courage to ask Val out; and she says yes.
  • And Marla agrees to swap cars so Cooper can take Val out in a nice car for their first date.
• Scott covers for Marla when her DM Jerry runs into her at a retail trade show.
• Scott surprises Marla with a honeymoon to Bermuda.
• Marla and Scott getting married. It's such a simple comic, with one panel and no text, but it's absolutely beautiful.
• Cooper tends to a customer for Marla because his smell is making her feel sick.
• Stuart does seem genuinely happy for Marla when she's promoted to store manager.
• The female Grumbel's staff fawning over Marla's baby Fiona is sweet enough, but It's absolutely adorable seeing Val play with her. She's a natural!
  • And then you have the fact that Stuart loves, and is surprisingly good with, babies.
• It really is adorable whenever we see Val doting over Fiona.
• Even though he's "just" Christmas help, Ron manages to make quite a few friends before leaving Grumbel's for his new job.
• Scott brings Fiona to the store because he thinks that she's about to take her first steps and she does, in front of a delighted Marla. Turns out she actually started walking at home, but Scott didn't want Marla to feel left out.
• While pretending he's not, Cooper is secretly delighted on getting to go to Disney World.
  • And it's sweet that Cooper and Val have such a wonderful vacation together.
• When Marla gets upset about looking her age, Val gets her to look up old school friends on Facebook so she feels better about herself in comparison.
• Fiona's second Christmas is adorable just because she's worried about Santa still being there after delivering her presents, so she pretends that she's still asleep.
• Fiona falling asleep on Scott during Thanksgiving.
• One of Arthur's first acts as assistant manager is to come in early for his shift, so that he can give Marla a much needed break after working on her own for so long.
• Marla convinces Stuart to give Brice the promotion he was going to get before he quit and left Delman's. She really had no reason to do especially since Brice was so rude to her, but she did so anyway.
• Cooper for once being nice to customers.
• Cooper using the money he earned from being an acting manager for a closing Grumbel's store to buy a ring so he can propose to Val, which she happily accepts.
