- In "Trial of Titans", Evan falls unconscious, and when Alaine and Glenvar fail to wake him up, Lukas simply does an impression of Evan's father telling him to get up for school, which immediately gets him up. (Though it's not quite as funny if you know that Foster was abusive to Evan, but it's not dwelled upon in this story.)
- In "Evangelites Skip, Matuzans Sway", Lukas goes to spy on his estranged brother Jelani to make sure he's not hurting Evan. He looks through a window, sees the two having sex, and immediately decides to sound a false alarm. (What happens next isn't as funny, though.)
- In "Body-Hopping", when Jeimos gets their body back from Tojum, they're distraught to learn that she got a tattoo of a rat and a cockroach fornicating on their backside, for whatever reason. Thankfully, they manage to remove it.
- In "The Edge of Second Chances", when Dr. Che's blood jars go missing, Evan is puzzled, because "Usually when something goes missing around here, [he just turns] Mr. Itchy upside down and it magically shows up again".
- In "A Mage in the Making", Itchy writes a forged letter to Ginger in an attempt to make her hate Mr. Ocean. Ginger isn't fooled for a second.“To Missus Jinjur,4get abowt yor loosur huzbind alredy and get with a hunk like me!!! U r so sexee i jerk my wigglurs 2 yor big nockers evry nite. - When Mr. Ocean is caring for Cinnamon and she gets hungry, Mr. Ocean, a cecaelia who doesn't know much about human biology, goes to ask Alaine to breastfeed her, thinking that all female mammals constantly produce milk.Glenvar: Ha ha! Go on, Allie, empty them jugs! I’ll give ya a hand if ya want!Alaine: Give yourself a hand! You got the biggest jugs in the village, fat boy!
- When Mr. Ocean is caring for Cinnamon and she gets hungry, Mr. Ocean, a cecaelia who doesn't know much about human biology, goes to ask Alaine to breastfeed her, thinking that all female mammals constantly produce milk.
- In "Hereditary", the rather horrifying scene of Connor having his arm ripped off by Bigbad is softened a bit in the next chapter by Isaac's poorly-spelled note to Evan.Isaac: Conner did the dumest thing ever. U R going to be PISSED!!!
- Later in the same story, Evan tells the now-lycanthrope Connor to think about something disgusting every time he sees blood so he won't crave it as much. Connor suggests his mother's squash stew, a trough of pig slop, and a dead horse full of maggots, but only gets really disgusted when Evan tells him to imagine his father naked. Then, when he goes to throw away a bucket of blood, Evan shouts at him "Your parents had sex at least once!" resulting in distant screams of disgust.
- In "As Nature Intended", Evan is about to try shooting a gun, and Jeimos mentions that he probably shouldn't, as he's a terrible shot and once shot Javaan in the butt with an arrow, and never wins a game of horseshoe tossing. And Isaac adds that he pisses on the toilet seat.
- In "Pig Bait", Mr. Ocean plays "Go Fish" with Isaac and Lilian, and asks when he will acquire fish.Isaac: It’s just the name of the game. There’s no actual fish.Mr. Ocean: I’ve been deceived!

from a few years in the future has Itchy help his partially blind daughter Cinnamon with her homework by letting her magically see through his eyes. However, he can't look at her book when Ginger is around.Itchy: Focus…slipping…! Can’t…resist…ass…!Ginger: Oh come on, control yourself!
