- In the Adoption mini-comic set after a ten-year timeskip, a miscommunication leads Tori to believe Nick and Charlie are adopting a child. This causes her to freak out despite Michael's reassurances. When it turns out the couple were just adopting a dog, you can almost hear the annoyance in her voice.

- Poor Nick trying to explain the situation with Imogen to his mum...and failing miserably. Olivia Coleman's utterly baffled reaction sells it perfectly.Mrs Nelson: Do you like this girl?Nick: Well, um, her dog died.Mrs Nelson: [long pause] ...Uh, not following.
- Elle teasing Tao over his complaining about Charlie and Nick.Tao: Next, Charlie will be bringing the whole rugby team to our film night and making us watch Avengers or something.

(smiles beatifically) I'm an ally.Tara: ...Congratulations?Darcy: (glaring) We thank you for your service.
- Nick coming out to Imogen. She's already guessed that he and Charlie are together, and is feeling a lot better about Nick rejecting her some months earlier:Imogen: You didn't like me because you're gay!Nick: Er... well, I'm bisexual, actually.Imogen: (looking like she's dying inside) ...Oh!
